An Orkmas Celebration

PaxLair City, Felucca, Chesapeake (PaxLair Times) – December 28, 2010 – by Ashlynn – The Christmas celebrations have continued with a visit to PaxLair City by an orc known as Sunta Clompz (and his olive-skinned assistant) who felt the desire to wish us “Habbi Orkmas”. It was certainly a nice surprise to have an orc visitor that didn’t want to kill us.

Before we were to receive our presents from Sunta Clompz though, were first had to endure an orcish tale of some sort and then participate in a game that involved painfully falling on solid ice several times, much to the amusement of our hosts no doubt!

Sunta Clompz spins us a tale in orcish.

Unfortunately, it is my observation that orcish storytellers do not appear to visit the same schools as the famous tailspinners from Tokuno or the bards of Britain and the language barrier also posed a problem for many. Thankfully however, Lady Winmere was there to translate for us and we were gifted with a tale in the true spirit of Christmas that involved dead elves, stew and orcs dreaming of a visit from Sunta Clompz (I hope no one tells the residents of the orc fortress that he decided to visit us instead as it would start a war I suspect).

After dancing down the ice with everyone else (and falling for no one made it to the end outside of a little practice session), we were all finally able to choose a bag or a box with the best performing contestants in the game (congratulations Lord Jamlyn and Lady Phoenix!) getting first choice of the special boxed gifts.

The celebrations were then followed with a little official alliance business and some announcements regarding the anniversary, but everyone had been reaching for the “Crate of Christmas Cheer” at this point so it all gets a little hazy for everyone.

Lady Phoenix did mention a New Year’s Eve celebration at Haven Bank beginning at 11:30pm by the eastern clock and everyone is of course welcome. So the celebrations are not over yet!

I play with movable type on behalf of the PaxLair Times. I sometimes move the little wooden letters around to create something resembling an article. And I come and go like the wind.
