ACROSS THE REALMS - April 8, 2006

Benris, Samurai of the Elder, alerted the citizens of PaxLair to a "Mysterious, Batty Old Woman" terrorizing the banks.

While Benris had not seen the woman first-hand, he uncovered news of her wanderings in the Britannian News Network, or BNN.  The news report came out April 4, 2006 and may be the start of something new and different in our Realms.  Keep an eye out for Inu the Crone!

Benris and Winfield met a winemaker in Yew that claimed he needed water from the Stream of Courage to make more and better wine.

The Stream of Courage is a fabled underground stream that supposedly connects the Spring of Courage in PaxLair City, Felucca to other places in the Realm.  The Stream was once investigated in November and December, 1999 (News Article) by Chester Silyus, the former PaxLair Scientist, and Aphra Ben Morg.  Mayor Winfield developed some theories about the Stream.

No one knows for certain how to find the Stream of Courage.  The usual evidence is testing waters in various places to see if it matches the Spring of Courage water in PaxLair City.  Such testing is not easy and usually involves special ingredients and arcane rituals.

Justine De Fargo of PaxOku seems to be suffering a form of maddness after the magic was performed to heal her crushed hand by Lord Darius. Justine's past seems to be torturing her.  Justine needs atonement or peace for the sins of her past, whether they were really her fault or not.

One way we came up with to help Justine was to show her love and understanding during this time of maddness. Love can make hope shine brightly even during the darkest of times. The purest form of love would be self sacrifice.

There is a dark red leather book on the porch of the Silent Rose Library with words of hope for Justine.  We need all of Justine's friends and family to Sacrifice themselves in Justine's name. To do this, simply invoke the Sacrifice virtue to give your fame to a daemon so they might see the errors of their ways. Please sign the book if you've sacrificed for Justine or have words of hope for her.

PAXLAIR CITY, FELUCCA - March 19, 2006 -- While at the Ladies Lair, Lord Darius who is the Viceroy of PaxLair City met Justine de Fargo.  Justine had a crippled hand and said she had ingredients to fix it.  There is a ritual that Darius knew of that used the ingredients.  It is the Ritual of Skelkon.

They went to the darker of the Twin Towers and Darius performed the ritual and fixed Justine's hand.  But a side effect is Justine will be mad for a time.  That amount of time depends on the strength of her spirit.

The Ritual of Skelkon required a cauldron, Sulfurous Ash, Bat Wing, Dragon Scales, and a dusty book.  These remain in the dark tower while the magic continues to help, or hurt, Justine.

After this announcement, many PaxLair Officials including Lord Oda Nobunga were worried that they were "working for evil".  Lord Darius, the Death Knight well known for his support of Evil, assured citizens that he would keep PaxLair as a place of neutrality and maintain the universal acceptance of others.

Welcome to Lord Darius, and a glass raised to the future of PaxLair Felucca!

The book found missing was "Spring of Death" by Mazrim's Strategist. "This book is about a plot to unite the Orcs and Savages against PaxLair", Librarian Tatania Karthina said, "The plot is to corrupt the Spring of Courage in PaxLair and make it run blood once again, so the evil Mazrim can gain power."

The Spring of Courage was immediately checked and found to be pure still.  Security is being stepped up at the Spring of Courage in PaxLair as well as several other locations.  Lady Winmere "Lady of the Spring" is thought to be in danger as the Spring could not possibly be corrupted while she lives.  Mayor Winfield is being contacted for guidance in these dire circumstances.

"Tatania Karthina came down suddenly with a severe fever last evening while investigating the missing book", Xavier Reed stated this morning, "She was hallucinating, certain she was seeing PaxOku turning into Felucca."  "I had a hard time settling her down and getting her inside to rest for the evening", Reed stated before refusing to answer any more questions.

We hope this was not a vision of things to come.  We must keep balance in PaxLair!

"We must finish the construction of this secure facility so we'll have a place to jail Orin Lightenburg and Justine De Fargo when we catch them again", stated Charity De Shante of the PaxLair Constables [PaxC] .

"The new PaxLair Hall of Justice will include the Constables Office, an Interogation room, jail cells, a Courtroom as well as living quarters on the top floors.  We hope it serves the PaxLair Community well in coming years.", Sherlock Holmes of the PaxLair Constables [PaxC] added.
