Briana Amroli has been my room mate and friend since the days of my childhood.  I've seen changes in her during the past years but did not recognize it for what it was.  I will do all I can to see that she goes down before she harms anyone else. 

Following is the letter:

Citizens of PaxLair,

   As many of you are aware, the PaxLair Minister of Diplomacy, Jasper De Fargo has bee taken.   I claim all responsibility for taking the Minister.

   I have one demand if you wish to see your Minister alive again.  For now,   he is growing closer and closer to becoming a Child of the blood as I am.  I have my doubts that he'll willingly take the last step required to become a Vampire.   Therefore,   I demand that you trade me Justine De Fargo for Jasper De Fargo. 

   I've been shaping Justine's life since she was but a child and she would be a much better candidate for the blood thanks to my interference in her life.  I must say that last night when I went to visit her in the Hall of Justice in her nice little cell, I thought she only half listened.  I talked a guard into installing a mirror in her cell, by telling him it was her mother's and would give her some comfort.

   After Justine and I finished speaking together, she knew precisely how I shaped her life.  By the time I reached the front door to leave,   the mirror was well doing the job intended.   Justine was screaming at the top of her lungs, facing the daemons and terror of her past.  the mirror is meant to be relentless on it's victim and will not give her relief as long as she is in the room with it.

  I'm sure by the time this letter is received by dear gullible Tatania, the damage will be done and Justine will be easy to convert.

  I give you until next Monday to set up the trade.  You bring me Justine or what's left of her and I'll give you Jasper.
