Players are asked to meet at the RenFest front gates no later than 11 AM Eastern Time to meet and greet.

We have moved many external "News Feeds" from our front page of PaxLair.com to the top menu item "NEWS / News Feeds" to speed up our front page and still allow people to see various news feeds from around the Realm.

Regarding the note that "Some shard-specific GM placed objects may not make the UOKR transfer (Darkscribe said anything that wasn't "placed properly" may be in danger of vanishing. They expect to take care of some of these during beta.)" has PaxLair a little concerned, but not too much.  We believe most things in PaxLair City were "placed properly".  The Orc Fort east of PaxLair was a major construction project by the GMs and could possibly have the biggest impact. Only the GMs can be sure about all this.  We can only guess what might be vulnerable. Perhaps Chesapeake will be a test shard at some point during the Beta.

PaxLair City enhanced houses and areas (starting on the West side) are the Alchemist shop [large brick building], Ladies of the Lair [NW large forge with outdoor cafe in the back], Stable House with stable out front [next to Ladies of Lair], Luigi's pizzeria and outdoor cafe area [PaxLair bells, statue monument, tables], the outdoor arena [behind the twin towers], the Twin Towers with fountain in between, Fire Monument [between the Twin Towers and Alchemist shop to the west], the Spring of Courage, benches, and orcish ruin wall [in front of the Mage Tower/Twin Towers], the archery pit [south of the twin towers by the road], and the PaxLair Survival Shop [large forge on east side].  There are also two PaxLair signs on the road to the south and east.

SOMEWHERE IN THE REAL WORLD - October 3, 2006 

The pictures are in!  The players have returned to their "regular lives"!  Detroit, Michigan is back to normal!

The Michigan RenFest UO Player Gathering turned out to be a huge success on August 25-27, 2006. One highlight was attending the Rennaissance Festival near Detroit where the companions were thrown in jail, ordered to shoot arrows at a reaper, summoned to the jousting arena to back the Spaniard, and challenged to fight in a fighting pit.  It was a great 3 days of fun for all 19 people who attended.  There is already talk of other gatherings two times per year.

Images of the Meetup from several different photographers are slowly making their way onto the Pax site for public viewing.  Until they all are available, here is a casual group shot of those who attended:

THE ETHEREAL WORLD OF THE GODS OF THE REALM - August 18, 2006

"A Kingdom Reborn" sounded out from criers across the Realm today!  What is this Kingdom Reborn?  Well, early indications show that in the year of the gods 2007, we will awaken one day to a whole new experience in the Realm.

[A Kingdom Reborn is a completely new client for Ultima Online to be released in 2007.  It has enhanced graphics without straining valuable user computer resources.  All buildings, items, skills, etc. that we currently have within the Realm will still exist with the new client.]

The ethereal Stratics U.Hall forum has a thread started with information and images about "A Kingdom Reborn".
