Museum of Virtues Annex being built in PaxOku Print
Written by Vaul Adlatus_Pax
Sunday, 07 January 2007

PAXOKU (TOKUNO), PAXLAIR - January 7, 2007

Katherine, the Curator of the Museum of the Virtues, is building a Museum Annex in PaxOku.  The Annex should be open on or about Wednesday, January 10, 2007.  There will be a grand opening planned sometime in the near future.  The Annex will have expanded collections of historical items and knowledge relevant to the PaxLair Age of Enlightenment and other exhibits from the Realm.

Katherine was interviewed at the Silent Rose Library in PaxOku.  Katherine said, "I am glad to build this annex before the Age of Enlightenment."  She explained she'll be supporting PaxLair, if it wishes, by putting new items into the Annex found during the Age so people can do research.

The Annex may also be able to host dinner parties in the historic museum setting.  Katherine is considering this possibility.

Katherine went on to say, "I'd like to first thank Virgilia Martin for acquiring the land for the Annex.  Second, thanks to the people of PaxLair for their kindly patronage of my museum, and hope that they will visit and appreciate the new Annex as well.  Finally, I hope the coming Age of Enlightenment will see many return to the Virtues."

The Museum of the Virtues Annex is planning to cooperate, not duplicate, with the Silent Rose Library and PaxLair Theatre Company.

The Museum of the Virtues main location is on Malas (as shown below).  It has been a superb place to learn about all the ages of the Realm, the Virtues, the Ophidians, the Gargoyles, and many more historical and time relevant facts.

PaxLair Monks create Furniture for the Poor Print
Written by A Roving Reporter
Saturday, 06 January 2007

MAIN STREET, PAXLAIR CITY (FELUCCA), PAXLAIR - January 6, 2007

PaxLair monks were crafting and placing finely crafted furniture on the main street in PaxLair City today.  One monk said, "I sure like to see the poors taking these free things."  Another monk continued to work diligently with a hammer and nails.

Chancellor of Interior, Elrohir Helyanwe was found in his office in the City Hall.  He said,  "The Monks do have a Permit from my Interior Chancellory office.  They are welcome to use the sides of the Main Street of PaxLair City for yard give-aways and other functions as long as the area does not become too messy and does not impede the free flow of horses, carts, wagons, and people down Main Street.  They submitted the required paperwork and associated fees to my clerk yesterday."

The PaxLair monks are continuing to spread good will and virtue in PaxLair City.  They are a quiet group and seem very neutral to all who come through the city.  They are dedicated to the gods of Virtues and operate their newly constructed PaxLair Cathedral between the City Hall and the Twin Towers.

PAXLAIR CITY (FELUCCA), PAXLAIR - January 6, 2007

As a point of reference for all citizens and travelers, the following is offered as a guide regarding the names of areas in and around PaxLair City, Felucca.

All parts of the Meadows and West Coast are not under PaxLair City citizenship.  The city boundaries of PaxLair City are not easy to define with some houses part of PaxLair City, and others not.

PAXLAIR CATHEDRAL, PAXLAIR CITY (FELUCCA), PAXLAIR - January 5, 2007

On late Friday night, January 5, 2007, the Monks of PaxLair finished construction of the Cathedral next to the Twin Towers of PaxLair City. The grand opening went off rather well with silent prayers and chants. Lexana, Stef, Wulfgar, Erskine were the monks who led the first PaxLair prayer service. Those attending the first service were Mayor Winfield himself, along with Grimlar Mithrax and Cymbria Devereux. Just before the prayers started the question was asked who the prayer was going to. The Monks quickly explained that they prayed to the gods of the 8 Virtues. The prayers then began with each monk saying their own prayer. Then as each went and finished they began to chant.

PAXLAIR CITY (FELUCCA), PAXLAIR - January 4, 2007

Editor's Note: The PSS opening will be on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at 10 PM ET.

Gunga Din is the new proprietor of the famous [enhanced] PaxLair Survival Shop (PSS) in PaxLair City.  He will have a grand re-opening during the weekend, January 6-7, 2007.  More specific information will be available soon.

Gunga Din has dedicated much time and effort to make the PSS a frequently visited shop for people of all races and natures.  Come in peace, have an ale or two, and meet many people traveling throughout the land.

The shop will be very neutral in nature.  This means neutral, evil, and good are invited at all times!

Like many establishments in PaxLair, there is a "No Fighting Rule".  This means, no fighting on the steps or inside the PSS. According to PaxLair law, proprietors of PaxLair establishments may make their own rules to help provide a safe and enjoyable location for citizens and visitors.  However, laws may not conflict with PaxLair City or PaxLair Statehood laws.

The PSS is located along the main street of PaxLair on the east end.  Just look for the sign on the road point to PaxLair.  PaxLair is west across the river from Compassion Shrine desert on Felucca.

PaxLair Viceroys to Become Mayors - Age of Enlightenment Coming Soon Print
Written by Winfield_Pax
Tuesday, 02 January 2007

PORT BALDMOR (TRAMMEL), PAXLAIR - January 2, 2007.

Mayor Winfield officially announced tonight at the PaxLair-wide meeting in Port Baldmor that all the City Viceroys would be granted titles of Mayors during the 9th Anniversary of PaxLair, January 14-19, 2007.  In his prepared speech, Winfield also said that PaxLair would become a Statehood consisting of the five cities of Dragons Watch, PaxLair City, PaxLane, PaxOku, and Port Baldmor.  In addition, Winfield will remove his title as Mayor of PaxLair and become the Governor of PaxLair, the newly formed Statehood.  PaxLair will also enter an Age of Enlightenment, involving an in-depth immersion into the Realm.

These announcements do not come as a complete surprise since PaxLair has been in an Age of Cities since August 9, 2006.  During that Age, there was a focus on development of cities, governments, establishments, citizenry, and activities.

Mayor Winfield announced that the PaxLair Statehood would be entering an Age of Enlightenment during PaxLair's upcoming 9th Anniversary.  He said, "Our stage has thus been built [refering to the Age of Cities].  The cities are organized and prosper.  We will turn the pages to an Age that will test each and every one of us through immersion in this Realm well beyond the 'mechanics' of our existence."

Winfield envisioned an upcoming Age where "quests, plots, evil and good schemes, court cases, diplomacy, combat, adventures, calls to arms, and a lot of new comraderie" will exist.

Mayor Winfield's full speech follows:
