Orcmas Party Held in PaxLair, Felucca!

Reported by smellie tuupid humie (Neo Of Lothlore)

KAAR BARASHALU ORC FORT, FELUCCA — last night the Kaar Barashalu Orc Clan and the City of PaxLair put on its annual Orcmas Party! The event was held outside in Felucca at the Orc Village and IGM blessed fort, just a short run east of PaxLair, without a single instance of trouble from PKs!! In fact a few reds were guests at the party, who made sure to stick their fingers into the bubbling pot of orcish horse stew at the old Olag Hai Clan's blessed fort.

No dead humies were on the menu fortunately, but orcs Ga'kuct, Te'kug, Arig'lak, Ig'glu and the Orc Santa Claus, Sunta Clompz, were on hand to sing Orcmas songs (like "...the humies were hung all round the chimney with care...") and hand out orcish presents! I got a liver this year. Chancellor Winfield of PaxLair played human Santa Claus and gave gift bags with gold and a random powerscroll to everyone who was "nice" and not ebil!!

Chancellor John Duke played the host of the "2 Hits on John Duke" contest, where participants took two shots each at killing the chancellor. Zyer of Army of the Dragon won with two flamestrikes totalling 148 damage, then Buddy of ATD did 150 damage after the contest ended and wrestled the prize away from Zyer!

Five people participated in the Secret Santa gift exchange and one ended up with a nice 115 fencing scroll. Afterwards all the party guests went for a tour of the IGM blessed Olag Hai Orc Fort and a few brave souls sipped on cups of horsie stew (mostly just the orcs!).

Thanks to the many guests from all around Chesapeake who showed and made this ourdoor Felucca event a fun party: Zyer, ODIN, Buddy, Kara, Lissa Eldi, God, Faust D'Barder, Grimlar Mithrax, Magni, Arys, Natsia Shaia, Edward James, Ga'kuct, Ig'glu, Te'kug, Arig'lak, Sunta Clompz, Dimitri [!C!], John Duke, Winfield, Minsk, Neo Of Lothlore, Eli and Rudolph the Kaar Nuzed Spitr.

Spirit of Orcish Warbozz Gorbag

Once the event was all over, myself and John Duke were approached by the spirit of Gorbag the Orc, the former warbozz of the Olag Hai Orc Clan from five years ago. Gorbag identified himself as the ghost of Orcmas Past and brought us to his old throne in the Warbozz's hut at the fort to reminisce.

He took us on a tour, past the cage where humies were once captured and held ransom for shinies, stirred the pot of stew where the finest orcish herbs were once placed to feed the old clan whose numbers of members rivaled that of today's CHAMPS guild, and spoke about his warbozz hut where long ago female orcs kept him company while plotting attacks against the City of PaxLair whom they were once at war with.

Then the spirit said his time was up, praised the Kaar Barashalu Clan, and vanished into the air.

Thanks to all who attended this year's Orcmas Party, be sure to stop by PaxLair or the Orc Fort on January 14th 2005 for the celebration of the yearly Orc Holiday.

Knights Outpost and Stable Opens in Pax-Tokuno

Reported by Neo Of Lothlore

PAXLAIR, TOKUNO — PaxLair has taken possession of yet another building at the Tokuno Outpost! Eli was lucky enough to capture an 8x8 spot directly NW of the TeaHouse and next to Shen's. He quickly turned it into an outpost for the Knight's of PaxLair and made the bottom floor a stable.

The building's in Log Cabin style, with log walls, a Knight's Study area and rooftop dojo/sparring ground.

PaxLair's Outpost in Tokuno continues to grow, now with a total of 7 buildings: Tea House, Gardens, Inn, POST Shoppe, Armory & Pub, Shen's House, and PxK Stables. To view the map of the Tokuno Outpost see here.

Tokuno Inn Construction Completed!
Reported by Neo Of Lothlore

PAXLAIR, TOKUNO — Innkeeper Richard MacBeth announced the completion of his Tokuno Inn on Monday. The Inn took several weeks to construct due to labor difficulties with Minoc and Homare Jima crafter unions and the price of plaster and wood. The completed Inn has a split upstairs bedroom, balcony, and tailor shop downstairs. Richard provided us at the PaxLair news service with a timeline image of the construction:

Update on the Orike Munra Quest
Reported by the Overseer Monk Oman Delorath

After many weeks of fighting and hunting Orike Munra has successfully taken possession of his family's sword once again.

On Sunday, December 19th, 2004, Orike Munra and the Gatekeeper organized a group to seek out a Monk named Teneshi Kano who had taken possession of Orike’s sword. Orike presented the Monk with the items he had asked for, weapons of the Air, Dragon, Orc, and Daemon only to have the Monk request even more! The Monk asked for the hide of a lesser Hiryu, the scales of a white wyrm, and the fan of the fandancer to create a potion, the purpose of the potion is still unknown. After some organization and discussion the group was off and returned very quickly, confident in their triumphs.

The Monk took the items and happily returned Orike’s family heir loom!

The group’s confidence was soon broken when the Gatekeeper informed them that there was more. He sensed Valtos was up to more evil and that they were needed to meet Valtos’ latest chellenge. They found Valtos at Delucia where he told the group a riddle and disappeared. After some deciphering and quick thinking, they discovered that they needed to go to the entrances of the Terethans and Ophidians in the Lost Lands.

After successfully slaying a few of each family they returned to Valtos and were sent to the Chaos Shrine of Ilsenhar to slay an Ancient Wyrm and a Paragon Balron! After a long hard fight with the champions the group returned to Valtos who accepted defeat and ran back into hiding. The heroes soon parted ways as they had thwarted Valtos latest plans.
