Orc's Breath Forge

"Open to all Blacksmiths Novice to Grandmaster"

The small forge just east of the Mage/Paladins Tower of PaxLair was created in the early days of PaxLair, thus one of the original buildings.

It was enhanced by the gods (Interest Game Masters) when it was used for the PaxLair community as a completely open building for all blacksmiths to use a forge.  Crates and items exist in the building for more ornamentation than function, but it did add a lot to the area in a time when items could not be "locked down" in buidings.

The building was created by Driftwood and donated to PaxLair when he left.

Current as of September 13, 2005

Felucca
Facet

This building is in Felucca and therefore is not fully protected from assassins, murderers, and thieves.  Bring only what you can afford to lose.

No
PvP

By PaxLair Law, PvP is NOT allowed inside this building.  The building is designed for discussion, not combat.  If attacks occur, defenders may defend from this building, but defenders must move as quickly as possible to a combat building.  People will be banned from the building if they initiate non-consensual combat in this building.  The ban period depends upon the type and frequency of the offense.  Certain RPing may allow some PvP depending upon the quest or event.

Neutral
RPing

Role-playing Neutrality between good and evil reigns in this building.  Good and evil can come into this building and meet as desired.

IGM
Enhanced

Enhanced by the 'gods' with permanent and unique features.  Features include a table with chain coif and buckler forever secured outside as well as a sign that reads "PaxLair's Public Forge: Open to all Blacksmiths Novice to Grandmaster". Indoors there is a fur, furniture, and wall sconces, all unremovable.  Building can not be transfered unless items are removed or building will continue to be used in the venue and purpose for which it received the enhanced items.  Building must otherwise have items removed by a GM before transfer or sale.  Building must be publicly open except for special events.

Overview of Floors...

The small house has a forge and anvil in the center with crates on the back wall for storage and wall sconces on the walls to keep the forge lit at all hours of the day.  The Gruntee Orc guild stone is in the building [Ork].

Additional Information...

In the olden days, the only way to advertise what your building was for, was to add a table outside with an item representing what you were selling, these were often stolen by thieves, but a table with coif and buckler was placed outside by an IGM, forever stuck in place, marking the building's use.  The table was a "sign" of the purpose of the building before people could change house signs or make buildings public (or even private for that matter).

This building was originally placed by Driftwood and donated to PaxLair when he left PaxLair.  Driftwood was one of the original or near original members of the guild The Band [TB].  Over time, the building changed several hands and the current owner is unknown, as of Sep 12, 2005.  It started to decay on 12 Sep 2005, noticed during the PaxLair meeting at the Town Hall next door.
