PAXLAIR CATHEDRAL, PAXLAIR CITY (FELUCCA), PAXLAIR - January 5, 2007

On late Friday night, January 5, 2007, the Monks of PaxLair finished construction of the Cathedral next to the Twin Towers of PaxLair City. The grand opening went off rather well with silent prayers and chants. Lexana, Stef, Wulfgar, Erskine were the monks who led the first PaxLair prayer service. Those attending the first service were Mayor Winfield himself, along with Grimlar Mithrax and Cymbria Devereux. Just before the prayers started the question was asked who the prayer was going to. The Monks quickly explained that they prayed to the gods of the 8 Virtues. The prayers then began with each monk saying their own prayer. Then as each went and finished they began to chant.

A while later Cathedral Monk Stef spoke to the others about a presence felt outside. The others also felt it but urged Stef to be quiet because of the sermon in progress. They each later said that they felt the presence grew closer and closer. Finally they realized the presence was an entity that stood in the corner of the Cathedral by the steps. The entity stood in silence. Once finished with the chants and prayers, the monks led the worshipers to the Spring of Courage where they finished with a final prayer.

Once the service was over, they all turned around to ask the entity who he was and what he wanted. The entity explained that he was known as the GateKeeper and that he protected the gate to the Underworld, which was where he was from. Apparently he felt the good that the Cathedral brought to the world. He felt that the more the Cathedral spreads it words, the more good will hold the impending evil at bay. The Gatekeeper then disappeared into the mist. Leaving them all standing there as if nothing happened.
