SKARA BRAE, TRAMMEL - October 22, 2006

People of Sosaria came to the Ranger's guild in Skara Brae, Trammel responding to a call for help.  A young girl's father had been killed by one called The Shadow and his spirit cast into Hythloth.  The Sosarians descended into Hythloth, found the spirit of the father, and returned him to Skara Brae to be reunited with his daughter.

Afterwards at the Skara Brae Pub, Fred Jurgen, the father, revealed an age-long mystery about a special sword, the Holy Sword of Spirituality.  Jurgen was not always a farmer, but once a Paladin sworn by the Council of Mages to hide and protect the sword.

Jurgen told the Sosarians that during his earlier interrogation by The Shadow and before his death, The Shadow mentioned eight swords.  From this, the Sosarians surmised there may be more people like Fred Jurgen protecting swords from the Council of Mages.

The call for help started when Eric the Red (Minister of Quests for PaxLair) found a young girl named Emma Jurgen a few days ago.  She witnessed a terrible incident at her family farm on the mainland near Skara Brae where her father was killed.

The call went out wide and far with 10 warriors, mages, and tamers responding to the call.  They met Minister Eric the Red and the daughter Emma Jurgen at the Ranger's Guild in Skara Brae, Trammel.  The rescuers quickly learned they must find Fred Jurgen's spirit in Hythloth.  Claggart led a group consisting of Black Pearl, Winfield, Sounder, D'Artangen, Darth Oni, NANOC, Phoenix, and Earik to Hythloth.

After finding Jurgen's spirit and bringing it back to Skara Brae, it was not until his spirit saw his daughter that he could be resurrected.  One lady said "Love is truly powerful in this Realm" as Jurgen's body re-materialized.

Fred Jurgen then answered many questions in the Skara Brae Pub, which now lead to more questions.

What are the Eight Swords? Are they all swords? And where are they?

What does the Shadow want with them?

Who gave Fred the Holy Sword to watch over and why?

Daughter Emma is now reunited with her father and resting well in Skara Brae.  They will not return to their family farm until they believe the danger from The Shadow has passed.

Rumor has it there may be another incident of some kind next Sunday evening, October 29, 2006 at 9 PM ET in some to-be-revealed location in Sosaria.  All Sosarians are advised to be watchful for any news or rumors.
