Introductions

Cymbria Devereaux - Just recently returned and taken residence in the Library of Courage in PaxLair City, Felucca, next to Luigi's Pizzeria. She is sealing the books and there is a donation box at the Library too.

Mayor's Announcements

Mayor Winfield stated that the "Age of Cities" of the PaxLair Community continues until the 9th Anniversary of PaxLair (January 19, 2007).  The "Age of Cities" focuses on leadership (by the Viceroys and government of each city), activities, housing development, and interaction between cities and the shard.  There will be a new Age announced at the 9th Anniversary Celebration.

Minister of Defense

No report - However, watch for Ophidian war information throughout the week on the Stratics Chesapeake Forum.

PaxLair City, Felucca Report

There is a new Inn in PaxLair City that also houses a branch of the PaxLair Post Office.  The other branch office is in PaxOku.  People may be 'friended' to the building to sleep there when needed, and may also obtain a PO box by working with the Innkeeper.  There is also increased activity in the pubs and libraries in PaxLair City, such as the Ladies of the Lair operated by Lenora and the Library of Courage operated by Cymbria Devereaux.  Lenora announced the Ladies of the Lair Tavern is reopening next week on Tuesday and every Tuesday from 8-9 PM ET, before the PaxLair meeting.

PaxOku, Tokuno Report

Viceroy Visago announced there is a new Inn in PaxOku where people may rest and stay.  It is on the south end of town and includes the Viceroy's office. Last week PaxOku hosted a live broadcast from the Blue Light Tavern (BLT) prior to the Thursday adventure night. The broadcast went throughout the shard.  PaxOku is also exploring the possibility of constructing a fighting/sports arena.  The Adventure last Thursday was a great success due in no small part to aid from the DAGR pirates.  A beast was slain in Tokuno that night.  This coming Thursday will be an adventure to the Gauntlet.

Dragons Watch, Felucca Report

Viceroy NANOC completed a survey of Dragons Watch and left "books of interest" on all steps.  Responses are still slow.  Also, the Tavern in DW is making progress on its construction.  There will be a DW event soon that is still in the detailed planning stages.

Port Baldmor, Trammel Report

Viceroy Kerrs Holley announced that Port Baldmor recently opened a vendor shop called the Black Market Vendors.  Vendors spots are available -- talk to Budswoman.  The shop will have a lot of fishing supplies too.  Orike Munra also visited saying he escaped from the Void. Orike also mentioned to watch out for Valtos and Queen Sara, who have been spotted lurking in the area.  Queen Sara was seen last week doing evil, destroying two statues in the city of PaxOku and stole the light from the top of a building, as reported by Lenora.

Additional Reports and Announcements

Korin the Scribe appeared at the meeting.  Korin the Scribe was once a resident of the town of Haven far to the South of DW.  He left the land many years ago and has just returned.  He found Haven mostly in ruin, but more importantly he could not find anyone who knew of Theros Ironfeld's whereabouts.  So Korin headed to PaxLair City.  Theros is apparently hiding, probably pursued by some evil; Theros has taken the Hammer and Sword with him.  Also, someone retained a box from Theros to be given to Korin. Korin received the box and inside it held a staff forged by Theros with the Hammer.  Another item was a small key with a simple engraving on it called "crate".  Korin continued his journey to PaxLair City, but did not see anyone in the city at the time.  Korin meditated at the Spring of Courage and saw a vision of Seer Daemeon standing in the spring as he did once long ago.  Daemeon's hands were outstretched holding a shining globe.  In the globe was a cloudy picture of a battle.  There were six warriors locked in combat, each wielding weapons. One weapons was the Sword of Truth.  The others could not be recognize.  It appeared three of the warriors were evil.  Seer Daemeon's vision disappeared and a voice seemed to say "Trust in the Principles.  They will guide you."  After hearing this, Mayor Winfield quickly left the PaxLair meeting and returned with a "crate"; he gave the crate to Korin.  Korin's key unlocked the crate and inside revealed three books.  One was titled "read me" and two others were in some strange language or code.  Korin said he needed time to decipher the other two books.

Eric the Red stated the Library of Knowledge was successfully moved over [to Chesapeake].  There will be books and tales of another land in the Library.  Also, two books of Sin will be on display either at the Library of another location.  The Books of Sin were part of a quest several months ago.  People have also heard the Shadow may be forming a Council of Sin.  More should be known in the coming week.

Post-meeting Activity

Several people stayed after the meeting in Dragons Watch.  Viceroys NANOC and Kerrs Holley were seen talking with much enthusiasm, perhaps about secret ale recipies.  Viceroy Visago and Mayor Winfield had a quiet discussion while others enjoyed comradery and companionship.
