Kerryl Foxfyre wrote this on the PaxLair Boards, Nov 24, 2004:

Well all, the time has finally come, i'm officially leaving uo. It's been a fun 4+ years with everyone, all the friends i've made since i've been here, and i'm sure enemies. Though i'm leaving uo, i will be taking with me many wonderful memories. Thank you my friends, for making my time here something to remember.

With that i would like to leave you with this song:

*as Kerryl sits down to his ale a bard stroles to the front of the room. He carefully unwraps an ancient harp, setting it in the crook of his arm, he begins to play, his voice strong and clear, the song tinged with the sadness of parting...*

Oh, all the money e'er I had, I spent it in good company.
And all the harm that ever I've done, alas it was to none but me.
And all I've done for want of wit to mem'ry now I can't recall;
So fill to me the parting glass, Good night and joy be with you all.

Oh, all the comrades e'er I had, they're sorry for my going away.
And all the sweethearts e'er I had, they'd wished me one more day to stay.
But since it falls unto my lot, that I should rise and you should not,
I gently rise and softly call, Goodnight and joy be with you all.

If I had money enough to spend, and leisure time to sit awhile.
There is a fair maid in this town, that sorely has my heart beguiled.
Her rosy cheeks and ruby lips, I own, she has my heart in thrall;
Then fill to me the parting glass, Good night and joy be with you all.

*as the last notes fade Kerryl slips out the door unnoticed, all eyes are on the bard, when finally they look to where he sat, they find an empty stool with an empty mug turned upside down. during the hush that follows, a light wind wisps through the tavern, upon the wind is heard a soft whisper...*
Goodbye dear friends...

Kerryl FoxFyre

And in response to that, Winfield, Old Man of PaxLair replied:

Kerryl Foxfyre,

More than Four Years you have been in this Realm, and you have been a great friend of PaxLair in those years. It is hard to let people go... go to other ambitions and destinies... go and leave us behind. We try not to be selfish, but we shed tears anyway and drop them into the Spring of Courage.

Your Courage leads you to your destiny. PaxLair wishes you Dragonspeed, our friend Kerryl. The table is always set for you here, with your friends standing by.

Kerryl Foxfyre, PaxLair will miss you! Dragonspeed!

Always your friend,

Winfield, Old Man of PaxLair
