Murder Mystery Quest: Kalendrien History

Following is a brief history leading up to the events at present.

Dumas is the youngest brother of a clan known as the Kalendriens. They, with other evil minded individuals formed The Brethren, now disbanded. The Brethren roamed the lands as freelance assassins. They worked for other Evils of the land to contribute to the chaos and anarchy witnessed already throughout Sosaria.

A group of Paladins, who pursued the mythical Oracle, formed a tightly organized guild (The Paladins of the Oracle), to combat the dreaded forces of the Followers of Armageddon(FOA), and the then sect guild,The Brethren.

The Brethren proved too much for the Paladins; for despite their best efforts in raising awareness of the Bretheren's great evil, the Paladins were finally outnumbered and the PtO destroyed. (testimony: Sandler Morlock/V*A/Shug)

What has happened since then?

The Brethren, after destroying the PtO, were known to have pursued a lone Elven maiden near the forests of Shame Mountains. It is unknown even at this time what folly they had planned for her.... She feared herself the last of the "High Elven" race, and after her first encounter with the Brethren, fled to the north where she knew a clan of Wood Elves existed. Lin the High Elf was taken in by the Woodelves, and while things seemed fine for a while, the Woodelves kept to their ways, and Lin soon found herself wandering the outskirts of Paxlair. This is where things get murky...

Nothing has been heard of the High Elf or The Brethren until now. In the past month, The Legion of Truth has learned that the Kalendrien named Dumas has been seen at the Black Spire in the lost city of Gehenna. Little is known what happened there...and the Clan of Vampires characteristically denied being involved or are even interested in "such mortal endeavors..."

Thus the Murder scene was discovered by a neighbouring farmer, who upon visiting the Healers House, found Lin the High Elf, dead, and decaying...

Who was responsible for this despicable act?

This question and the answer is now the Quest of the Legion of Truth... to bring justice for what may now be an extinct race.

Dumas Kalendrien is in custody now, as evidence at the crime scene raises suspicion of his involvement prior to the Elf's death.

Last week the Corwyn Guard apprehended the Kalendrien, and the Legion thanks thee!

In the past News of this board,(july 5th & 7th, ed note: use the search box to look for them) there are clues that you must find to begin this quest...

Your quest, if ye see fit enough to complete it...the clues are out there, always...

For now,the court trial will be set, and the gathering of evidence is nigh!

The Legion of Truth offers a 10,000 gp reward to the one that finishes the Quest.
