PaxOku

Lady Winmere of PaxLair suggested to Sherlock Holmes, "If Justine did anything, question her Master. He signed her into a binding contract."

Holmes Vowed to return with a search Warrant for the Blue Light Tavern, after being forcefully removed.

Find out why by reading the entire story!

As reported in the Times on January 21st, 2006, Justine De Fargo has signed a contract that legally makes her Orin Lightenburg's slave for a period of three
months. Copies of the contract were sent to Mayor Winfield, Jasper De Fargo as well as the Times.

Following is the contract exactly as it reads:
"This is a legal binding contract  between Orin Lightenburg and Justine De Fargo.

I Justine De Fargo agree to be Orin Lightenburg's slave for a period of 3 months, beginning on January 16th 2006 and lasting until April 16th 2006.

I understand that I am completely at Orin's mercy during this time and must do precisely what he tells me."

the contact is signed by both Justine and Orin.

Many throughout the PaxLair community are upset about this newest fiasco with PaxOku's first son [Orin is the son of Viceroy Gareth] and are trying desperately to help Justine find a way out of the contract.

Mayor Winfield, when asked if the contract was legal because Justine is only 18 years of age stated that the legal age of consent in PaxLair is 14.  A 14 year old could legally get married if they desired to do so.

Oda Nobunaga of PV, who has talked with Justine at length since this story broke said that Justine admits to being tricked into signing the contract but is determined to see this through because she has promised Orin to do so.  "She [Justine] still considers Orin her friend and will defend him fiercely if anything is said against him.", Nobunga stated.

In an odd twist to this Story, the Detective Sherlock Holmes is investigating a bank robbery in Minoc.  "All the bankers were sleeping on their jobs during the robbery of 9 million gold from the Bank of Minoc, so there's no witnesses." Holmes stated.

"The fact that Justine De Fargo gave Miss Kayi of PV a bag filled with 7 million gold to give to the Lady Tatania Karthina of PaxOku for safe keeping just days after the robbery makes Justine a Prime Suspect. said the Detective, "It is my belief that "if" Justine did indeed rob the bank,    she did it under Orin's orders or in a last ditch effort to buy her way out of this deplorable contract!"

Justine was hiding in PaxOku last evening while Sherlock Holmes questioned citizens of PaxLair about the robbery and Justine.  Orin came upon the gathering and words and threats were passed back and forth between the detective and PaxOku's first son.  Orin refused to allow his slave to be fingerprinted for the investigation and Holmes insisted that even though Orin escaped prosecution for the Rebellion last year that he would not escape the law for this!

Neo of Lothlore used tracking to help find Justine while she hid just as Orin arrived.  Orin bellowed for his slave and Justine came out of hiding and ran to him.  In front of everyone present, Orin repeatedly kicked the poor girl and threw a chain around her neck before dragging her into the BLT.  Outraged, Holmes followed and Orin literally kicked him off of the property after telling him to leave.

Winmere of PaxLair suggested to Sherlock Holmes, "If Justine did anything, question her Master. He signed her into a binding contract."

Holmes Vowed to return with a search Warrant for the Blue Light Tavern, after being forcefully removed.
