Many turned out for Port Baldmore's Grand Opening to enjoy an
Ale at the tavern and a couple of surprises!

Oda Nobunga was heard to boast,"I've got a whale of tale to tell ya lad ... whale of a tale or two about the flappin fish and the girls I've loved on nights like this with the moon above... a whale of tale and its all true
I swear by my tatoo...

There was Titan Tessie
met her off the coast of Madagascar
then one day our fire of love blew out
blow me down and pick me up
she swapped me for a trout"

Amid the laughter and well wishes to Oda for his tale, Mayor Winfield said, "I'll try a quick pirate song. If it's no good, do I get to walk the plank?"

Then, the Mayor began tapping his knee to strike up a beat before beginning singing!

"I once went sailin from Skara Brae
Out on my ship, I was so brave!
Into the night I took my oars
Because the wind died and had no course...
So I oared away into the day
And hit a rock I have to say,
BUT! It was no rock at all.
It was a pirate out for a Call!
He was in the water just swimming there.
So he Called out to me "ahoy up there!"
I got my fishing pole and dropped in the line.
He grabbed it and pulled me in ... not a good sign.
The pirate let out a howl and pirates came in.
Soon I was surrounded, like in a pirates den!
Still in the water they fished me out.
I told them "I'm the Mayor, have no doubt!"
So they said "Mayor Shmayor, you will be dead soon"
"If ye don't give us gold from the moon!"
Well, I had no gold to give them.
So they roped me up and spit on me with flem!
A long came a mage, just like Winmere.
And by the time they saw her, they were all in a fear!
She conjured a serpent and sent it in.
The pirates knew they could not win!
One by one they dashed over board.
Winmere's serpent looked like it was bored.
She unroped me and wiped my face.
To this day, I owe Winmere everything for her grace!
The end."

It was decided after this song that Mayor Winfield must indeed walk the plank. Everyone poured out of the tavern and walked to the shore of the Island, excited chatter heard along the path of this new Pirate Town. Mayor Winfield did indeed board a Pirate ship and after much heckling finally "walked the plank".

Neo of Lothlore gave the Mayor a little push when it seemed that Winfield was hesitating on the plank.  It should be noted as well that Neo did stay close enough to rez his Mayor afterwards!
