A NEW MAIN PAXOKU PAGE IS UNDER DEVELOPMENT BY GARETH HERE.

The Tokuno Outpost was established on Homare-jima in Tokuno on November 3, 2004.  It was designated as PaxOku, Tokuno on June 21, 2005.

TOKUNO TEA HOUSE

Tokuno Tea House

"PaxLair-Felucca and Dragons Watch-Felucca are not being abandoned [with the new Tea House]," said Chancellor Winfield, "but being connected to many other places of opportunity. In fact, those visiting the Tea House will see much history of earlier days in the realm, particularly on Felucca. There are replicas of the Spring of Courage, the Suffering Stone, and the Suicide Gate. Even recently, a strange phenomenon has plagued the Spring of Courage replica with ominous indications about Mazrim's old Tower of Souls. That is all a mystery right now."

"We do not make the Tea House into a museum, but more a living piece of many peoples' history, culture, and their futures," Winfield continued. "Something is always changing at the Tea House and in other places of the Outpost. Nothing is static. In fact, people of the Realm have already built new history at the Outpost. Many adventures start there and several things have happened in quests lately.

"For example, at times, an emergency response force is found at the Tea House helping adventurers back to life and to gather their belongings. Even more, this response force may 'party' some of these adventurers and when the force hears a death cry, they communicate with the dead adventurer and come to their aid wherever they are in the Islands. It is a wonderful idea and helps build respect and cooperation.

"Even further, The Gatekeeper, a player-quest master, arrived several times to take people into the wilderness and dungeons for specific objectives. A few days ago, The Gatekeeper appeared and instructed others to close a fissure between the Underworld and the Realm. The team found a miner-blacksmith at Skara Brae bank and invited him to aid in the quest. That smith, protected by the team, mined verite ore in Covetous Dungeon and then created a mighty katana in the Orc Dungeon. They brought the katana back to the Tea House where they found and closed the fissure. Of course, now another fissure has opened and engulfed the Spring of Courage there."

TOKUNO INN

Citizen aspirant Richard MacBeth is building an Inn just south, and across the road from the Tea House on Homare Jima. "The locals needed a place to rest safely," the Innkeeper replied when asked why he chose to create an Inn on the small plot of land near the Kitsune Woods. "I wanted to contribute to the growing little community in some way, so I thought a safe spot to enter and leave the realm would be a great start!" he said.

The Inn is next door to the PaxLair Gardens, and is visible from the main road. Mr. MacBeth also said that anyone passing through can be friended there, not just Paxlair citizens! Construction will probably take a few weeks, but the soft grass is ok to sleep on for now. Come for a visit to the new Inn today!

PAXLAIR OUTPOST SURVIVAL TRADERS (POST)

POST

Thanks to speedy house placement by our friend Grimlar Mithrax, PaxLair's Tokuno outpost has grown in size by another home! The POST (PaxLair Outpost Survival Traders) opened for business over the weekend (Dec 11-12, 2004), setting up vendors along the roadside near the Homare-jima moongate and Pax-Tokuno. The POST will be used mainly for vendors and sales, but will work in conjunction with the Inn to host live-craft smithy and carpentry events. It's located a short walk from the Tea House and is about 4 homes away from the PaxLair Gardens.

Anyone interested in setting up a vendor there should speak to Eli on the PaxLair Boards.

KNIGHT'S OUTPOST AND STABLE

PaxLair has taken possession of yet another building at the Tokuno Outpost!  Eli was lucky enough to capture an 8x8 spot directly NW of the TeaHouse and next to Shen's. He quickly turned it into an outpost for the Knight's of PaxLair and made the bottom floor a stable.

The building's in Log Cabin style, with log walls, a Knight's Study area and rooftop dojo/sparring ground.
