The Weekly Fight Night hosted by the Chesapeake Fight Club was held in PaxLair with 10 contestants testing their abilities!
The rules of the fights are anything goes, aside from precasting and no
pets allowed with a time limit of three minutes. Points are awarded for
bringing your opponent down to a certain level of health, with the win
either going to the kill or the most points accumulated in this 1v1
challenge.
There was an initial practice round to establish a bracket with an
overall victory to Apple Jacks of [BiC] who never suffered a loss. But
all scores were eliminated as the competition entered the real
tournament with a double elimination, meaning they have to lose twice
to be eliminated, and the victories counting over toward the end of the
month tournament.
The competition consisted of: Jai of [AKB], OJ Simpson [ATD], Devin
[AKB], Taco, Arig'lak [Orc], Te'kug [Orc], Ga'kuct [Orc], Apple Jacks
[BiC], and Ty the Big Sexy [AKB], each bringing their own style of
fighting but only a few could remain in the end. The competition
quickly whittled down to only Ga'kuct, Apple Jacks, Taco, and Ty the
Big Sexy. Taco and Ty were vying for 3rd as they duked it out for the
complete three minutes, with Taco ultimately coming out on top and
claiming third place over Ty. The final round came down to Ga'kuct and
Apple Jacks, Apple had been previously defeated by Ga'kuct and needed a
victory that would lead to another round where as a defeat would be an
overall victory for Ga'kuct. The fight was tough, but Apple had
accomplished his goal and killed Ga'kuct, which established another
round, which the victor would take the week's win.
Again Ga'kuct and Apple met, for the third time of the night, the two
knew each other pretty well by now, and anyone could come out on top.
Both competitor's gave it their all but it was Apple Jacks who came out
on top, taking the victory with a very solid kill on Ga'kuct. Everyone
fought tough, and the monthly competition is still weeks away, so the
title is still anyone's game.
