BRITAIN, TRAMMEL 

A massive defense of Britain is planned for Wednesday, March 9, 2005, 9PM EST against the constant onslaught of monsters led by their Generals.  All of Chesapeake are encouraged to join in the defense!  Preparations will start at 8PM EST at the Chamber of Virtues just across the main bridge into East Britain.

Panica started a massive defensive idea with the call "WE CAN DRIVE THEM NASTY BUNCH OUT OF OUR MAIN TOWN" on the UO Stratics Forum (link here).  And then, Panica helped lead the Defense of Britain on March 2nd. (link here).

Now also, to help us Sosarians, Tancred Redstar consulted Lissa Eldi (GM of the Fellowship of Virtue *V*) and also called for this defense.  We, citizens of Sosaria, should immediately step up to the challenge!

I, Winfield, Mayor of PaxLair, performed a dangerous reconnaissance of the areas in and around Britain.  It was no easy task to see where the enemy is assembled.  I provide a simple map of the most dense areas where the attackers are located on Britain, Trammel.  Of course, the enemy will move around once people start attacking them.  I did this reconnaissance on a holy day when many were not defending Britain.  So, the enemy might move a bit when we strive to fight them back on Wednesday.

We have some strategies to work against the enemy in a cooperative manner.  *V* has proposed to start at the main gate in Central Britain just south of the main enemy area occupying Northern Britain.  We will need other guilds and defenders to organize to combat the western part of Northern Britain near the Castle and try to pinch the enemy.  Taking over the Theatre in the center is a good plan and place where we can further assemble.

Obviously in the outlying areas to the northwest, there are massive gatherings of enemy forces.  Several houses are constantly under siege and must be defended.  If anyone knows the home owners there, they might offer a good place of protection and assembly during the defense of their neighborhood. Many guilds and defender groups are needed to work against this northern invasion.

We seek to create the main HQs of this defense in the Chamber of Virtues, just across the bridge to the east of the assaulted area.  We plan to meet as early as 8PM EST to help get things organized.  At the HQs, we can assemble our forces, resupply, and organize where attack zones are placed.  As many runes to areas will be made, but there are currently strange magics preventing runes inside West Britain.

There are strategies to push back the enemy, and those are being researched.  More information will be provided in this article as we learn more.  For now, we must prepare and decide to dedicate our time to this noble and valiant effort.

Here are some known Defender Strong Points.  We will try to keep this article updated and current on the PaxLair News as we learn of more locations and guilds.

• Chamber of Virtues in East Britain across the main bridge - This can be the Headquarters of the Defense forces.  Defender guilds and their leaders can meet here to form their strategies.  The Headquarters will be manned at least one hour prior to offensive operations leading into NW Britain and the outlying areas to the NW.  Leaders are encouraged to meet at this Headquarters to organize last-moment strategies.
• West Britain Main Central Gate (near the Inn) - The Fellowship of Virtue [*V*] led by Lissa Eldi and Tancred Redstar will launch their defense from this point into the heart of NW Britain.  Their goal will likely be to set up a base camp at the overwhelmed theatre, then branch out from there into other areas of NW Britain.
• North Britain Mage Shoppe - The Keepers of the Light [KTL] led by Gareth will provide ressurections to the fallen and a defensive strong point for launching counter-attacks into Northwest Britain.
• West Britain Castle Gate - The Ancient Knights of Britannia [AKB] plan to launch there defensive counter-attacks from the area just north of the West Britain bank near the entrance to the main Castle.
• Theatre in central part of Northwest Britain - This is an area heavily defended by the enemy.  Once this is taken, a headquarters can be established inside the battle zone.  Due to strange magics, runes can not be used inside the West Britain areas, even the Castle.  However, gates may be opened to other areas like the main HQs at the Chamber of Virtues.  At least, we believe this is possible.
• Britain Cemetary - This area seems to be less attacked by the enemy, however when more people are present the enemy will likely move into the Cemetary.  This could be a good defensive strong point to gather people together.  We do not know if runes marked here will work properly, or if the people using such runes will be randomly sent to another area.
