GOVERNOR'S OFFICE, MAGE TOWER, PAXLAIR CITY (FELUCCA), PAXLAIR - February 22, 2007

Minister of Defense Cross MacLeod met Governor Winfield in his office handing him his resignation. The resignation was simple and not unexpected.  People at the PaxLair Statehood meeting saw Cross MacLeod noticably agitated by the appointment of Ga'kuct, the Warboss of the Orcs, to the position of Mayor of PaxLair City.

The Governor accepted Cross' resignation with respect and understanding.  Cross is a Paladin of Virtue.  While the Minister of Defense does not report to the Mayor of PaxLair City, Cross lives in PaxLair City and PaxLair City is the capital of the Statehood.

Cross MacLeod's more specific reasons for resigning are below, and discussed on the Pax Forums. 

I Cross MacLeod Hereby tender my resignation for the office of Minister of Defense.

In Light of this I feel I owe it to the Citizens of PaxLair to explain
my reasons for this decision to alleviate any doubts in your minds you may have of me. Over the past couple of years I feel that the City and Communities of PaxLair is in a Serious state of Moral decay. Criminal Activity Within PaxLair is at a rise,Orc Infestation has also become more dominate to the Point now where it has usurped some Political Control of PaxLair Felucca. With these Turn of Events I personally feel that I cannot Best Serve the People of PaxLair and also Live up to my Duties as a Paladin of Virtue Due to the "Conflict of Interest" with the " Shackles of political Office" of the Minister of Defense. In conclusion I wish to release these three statements.

Statement #1

This statement is for the Law Abiding Citizens of PaxLair. Even though I have resigned my position of Minister of Defense, Have NO fear I have not abandoned you or my Responsibilities as a Paladin. I am not going anywhere my Home is PaxLair also and I tend to Fight to get it back on Track of Higher Moral values. I will do my best to take care
of the more recent problems within the City.

Statement #2

This statement goes out the the Criminal Element conducting itself from within PaxLair City Limits, and you know who you are. All I have to say to you is..."Your days are numbered!"

Statement #3

This statement is for the Orc Clan who somehow clawed its way back and usurped control of PaxLair City. " Enjoy your moment in the Sun because that's all its gonna be..a moment, I shall stuff you back under the rock from whence you came.!"
