PaxLair City was founded on January 19, 1998 and continues to this day as a vibrant community on the Chesapeake Shard of Ultima Online.  Originally just called PaxLair as one city, it was renamed to PaxLair City when the PaxLair Community grew to multiple cities and locations on the shard.

PaxLair City was enhanced by the gods in 1998 and 1999 as player communities grew in the Realm.  PaxLair City is dedicated to the tenets of the PaxLair community, being Peace, Neutrality, and Role-playing.
