N meets with Hephaestus

Beware, Britannia!
Not long ago, the one known as N. -or Nedemor- made preparations for something. We all expected it to be something sinister, but surely noone thought of what really happened, although it was foreseeable. Today, a ranger that was brave enough to hunt near the Dark Spire, entered the city of Gehenna. While he edged closer and closer out of curiosity, he heard a strange metallic sound. As he clanced around the corner toward the front entrance of the Spire, he saw a huge figure that stalked inside with mechanical movements.

With his keen eyes, sharpened in numerous hunts, he realized that this was not a human being, but rather the shape of a human, made up out of parts of armor and other materials. Not unfamiliar with the happenings in PaxLair, it dawned on him that this had to be one of the Golems that were stolen by... this had to be him! Nedemor, who was using this body to visit the Dark Spire.

Although the ranger began to doubt his own valor, he sneaked towards an open window and tried to catch a glimpse of what was going on. And indeed he was able to see... He saw Nedemor in his Golem-body meeting with Hephaestus, the Prince of the Hunt. Golem and vampire talked for quite some time in what seemed like mutual understanding. Although it was hard to read from the vampire's unmoving face and the even less moving features of the Golem, the posture suggested that they reached some sort of conclusion.

While most of the conversation was muffled by the cold walls of the Spire, the ranger was able to hear the words pact, ritual and corruption from Nedemor, while Hephaestus closed with the statement: "The Clan is ready..." The ranger made it back in one piece...

What are the vampires planning and how does Nedemor fit into this picture? 'Tis still unclear, but this does not bode well... Remember that the Clan of Vampires met with Nedemor once already, when he was still only known as N. and spun his web via communication crystals. It seems that the plans that were laid down then bear fruit now.
