Paladin Oda Nobunga is nominated to be appointed as PaxLair Minister of Defense.  Mayor Winfield plans to carry out the appointment ceremony on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at the weekly PaxLair meeting.

The Minister of Defense position is for the entire PaxLair Community, serving all of its cities, towns, and outposts.  The Minister is responsible for maintaining and enhancing a defense structure and alert system, recruiting allies for protection, understanding the threat to PaxLair locations and citizens, and creating and executing war plans with the Defense Ministry's leaders.

Defense issues range from random skirmishes in Feluccan territories to full scale wars across the facets, to include the defense of Sosaria during "EM" quests.  Some non-Feluccan cities and towns also require defense against vile monsters who prey on the innocent civilians.

The last Minister of Defense was Paladin Elijah Cross, who stepped down from the position for personal reasons on February 27, 2006.
