This evening at the PaxLair meeting in Dragons Watch (Trammel) there appeared a dazed, confused and frightened Elijah Cross. The Defense Minister of PaxLair and Paladin of Virtue was not at all himself, not even being in his regular uniform. He wore tattered clothes. Those assembled went searching for him in the woods just outside the DW Outpost and eventually carried the destraught minister inside to try to comfort him and determine what was wrong.

Once inside Elijah slipped back and forth into consciousness at times screaming aloud about a coming darkness, a great evil, and to the dismay of several beings of the Realm.

The PaxLair group then carried Elijah (who had no knowledge of who he was or any of the circumstances that had brought him to DW) to his home at the Paladin Keep in PaxLair. Elijah continued ranting about a "black evil" that was approaching as Lord Monk (The True Knight of PaxLair) fetched water from the Spring of Courage. Lord Monk brought the water to Mayor Winfield. Winfield enhanced the water from the Spring with ancient magic and administered it to Elijah. Almost immediately, Elijah's eyes began to clear and he began to recognize all those gathered around him. Somewhat confused and embarrassed he apologized profusely for he had no knowledge of the trouble he had caused.

Once his mind began to clear further, he began speaking of being struck in the back of the head as he entered Lord Jasper's office in PaxOku. He had been taken by surprise and when he awoke dark visions began appearing to him. At that time, Elijah had no knowledge of who he was or where where he was. Instinct apparently drove him to the DW Outpost.
