PAXLAIR CITY, FELUCCA - January 14th, 2006 - Today, January
the 14th is Orc Holiday for those members of the Kaar Barashalu and
Olag Hai Orc Clans! Orc Holiday is an officially recognized
special day in the City of PaxLair by means of a Mayor's decree.
The Holiday began many moons ago in the year 2000 when digging began
at the ruins near the Order Tower in PaxLair by a human named
Caliphate. Much to his expectations and the glee of the orcs,
Caliphate found an ancient Orc Temple buried several feet below the
meadow of PaxLair and also located several artifacts that are to this
day on display at the PaxLair Memorial House.

Within the rubble the digger found armor, weapons, a skull and a
book that seemed to be written by a human ranger named Bilzen who had
communicated with the orcs. Caliphate concluded based on the
artifacts that were found and the text of the book, that Orcs had once
occupied the meadow known now to us as PaxLair and had been driven from
their homes many years later because of a strange plague, though hoping
to return one day and reclaim their land.
It is believed that during this period of abandonment, humans from The Band discovered the unoccupied meadow and set up a small wilderness town: PaxLair.
The digging also unfortunately was believed to have released a small
amount of the original plague, and several Orcs came down with the
grave illness a few days after the ruins had been excavated.
On the date of the discovery in 2000, the mayor at that time,
Winfield spoke with the Olag Hai Clan at their fort and declared that
the ruins would be considered holy ground and that January the 14th
would be henceforth recognized as Orc Holiday, and this tradition has
lived on each year since then!
HOOWAH!!
