Elijah Cross, Defense Minister and Jasper De Fargo, High Paladin held an emergency meeting of the PaxLair Alliance to learn more about a new threat to PaxLair.  It is likely that a threat of a return from the Clan of Vampires to all of civilized Sosaria could disturb the balance between good and evil.  The meeting discussed how to keep PaxLair safe, what information was needed to evaluate the threat, and two end-states issued by Mayor Winfield if the CoV threat was real.

Defense Minister Elijah Cross gave instructions that the Vampires would not be attacked if seen in any PaxLair areas unless the Vampires attacked the people.  He said much more information is needed about the Vampires to include their movements, home crypt, and intentions.

After listening to the dialogue, Mayor Winfield stated he would accept two end-states if this threat came to conflict.  First is the sufficient destruction of the Vampires to halt the threat.  Second is to cease the threat through peaceful co-existence in the PaxLair areas.  He emphasized PaxLair is a neutral society where evil and good can co-mingle, but not with one at the expense of the other.

Soon after the meeting, Jasper’s niece Justine stopped by to speak with her uncle.  Whatever transpired between the two was not revealed, only that Jasper was very near to tears and anger. A book was handed to him by his niece that all were allowed to see.  The contents are on display in the Paladins Keep.

Shortly thereafter Bob Ross, the mysterious figure Jasper had been wishing the Alliance to seek, appeared.  Kazzam apparently controls Jasper’s niece.  After Jasper failed to kill the vampire, Lord Exedore sought to comfort his friend. They retired to PaxOku where Jasper’s niece appeared again.  A chase insued, with the end result, his niece lost to the winds.  He retired to his home for the eve.
