The arcane wizards and tinkers have been hard at work creating an invention that I hope will bring us closer together as a community. This invention will allow us to better speak to each other. For so long, we have been limited to waving our hands and making our words appear above our heads. Of course, we will always be able to talk that way, but now! .....

.... we are on the verge of a new discovery. A device is being tested and prepared for our PaxLair community and friends. It will allow us to actually speak to one another in a more natural way. The device testing has gone well, but so far is limited by the inventors to only working with a few people.

I had the inventors create ways for us to realistically talk to one another while we are in different places in PaxLair and its Cities, as well as in the Realm. As we move in the Realm, we can also naturally move through this magical device to speak with one another.

More information will come soon on the final designs of this magical invention [Ventrilo]. We all hope the powerful artifacts and energies channeled into it will be beneficial and not explode in our hands and faces.

OOC NOTE: PaxLair is working on a Ventrilo Server setup. The intent is to be able to communicate rapidly and efficiently. Since PaxLair is a Role-playing environment, we will carefully set up this Server to support role-playing in connection with the game while also striving to help players talk as players when needed and appropriate. In other words, we strive to increase our enjoyment of Role-playing and interaction with a new capability and challenge of real-time voice using Ventrilo.

OOC NOTE: User registrations are required for connection to the Ventrilo server and we are currently working with guild leaders, ministers, chancellors, and officials to test this environment. Registrations will open up to all people of the PaxLair community as soon as we finish our testing and go into a production mode.

OOC NOTE: Many guilds and people use other Ventrilo and Team Speak servers to communicate.  Our intent is not to replace their efforts and systems, but add to additional services and flexibility when we want to work closer together as a PaxLair community.
