Evil in Blood Dungeon dies |
BLOOD DUNGEON, ILSHENAR - September 8, 2005
Lord Kethus Ellendale called upon the PaxLair Alliance and friends to bravely venture forth into the dangerous Blood Dungeon on Thursday, September 8, 2005. Ten in total accepted the calling and readily equiped themselves for battle. Elves and humans alike bound together to destroy the growing evil created by the Balrons of Blood Dungeon. For about two hours the adventurers killed countless enemy forces including many paragons. Several pets and warriors served on the front lines while archers and mages attacked from a distance. Mage and healer support helped keep the team alive while Balron after Balron evaporated into dust.
This adventure was part of the continuing Thursday night PaxLair Alliance adventures, starting at 9 PM ET at the Skara Brae Community Center in Trammel. Each week has a different focus for adventure and battle.

It was reported earlier that Balrons were plotting to take over a portion of Sosaria and the elves and humans decided this was not a good thing. The horn sounded, the call went out to all able-bodied people, many came quickly ready to form into a well-disciplined team. The target: Balrons in Blood Dungeon.
After short preparations at the Skara Brae Community Center and deciding upon tactics, the adventurers went to the Skara Brae gate, then to the Spirituality Gate in Ilshenar. They made their way to the Dungeon Entrance leaving other evil aside; there was much greater evil building in the dungeon.
After re-grouping inside the dungeon entrance, the adventurers quickly headed to the Balron Room where they immediately encountered one Collector of Souls. Mages cast forth their energy vortices while the tamers sent in their pets to take out the foe. Monk positioned himself near a pillar and from a mounted position took straight aim putting many arrows into the Balron's side. Mages and healers went into action keeping pets and people constantly healed. The Collector of Souls soon screamed out in death, but not without a call to more evil to storm down upon the party.
Soon the evil called in a Paragon Balron to try to smite the already victorious team. There was a death of a comrade, a ressurection, and ultimately the death of the Paragon. This continued for quite some time; the evil did not appear to get the message that this courageous team could take out anything thrown at them. Many more Paragons came forth. Many more Balrons.
Artifacts, loot, and treasure filled backpacks while Haggus collected items and sent what he could to the bank to be distributed later.
After vanquishing many of the evil Balrons and satisfied evil had taken its toll once more, the adventurers returned to Skara Brae and divided their loot.
Next week, treasure hunting is expected--dangerous places with very dangerous treasure awaits the adventurers. They will gather again on Thursday, September 15th at the Skara Brae Community Center.
