The mists flow across the PaxLair meadow.  Whispers come from all directions as you approach this building.  Your pulse quickens. Your horse is nervous.  You think you see a shimmer of light coming from inside.  You blink.  The light is gone.  You gather your strength to enter the building but can not.  The doors are locked, or are they?  Magic around the doors seem great.  More whispers.  Your horse bucks and throws you to the ground, then it bolts away.  You stand up and feel something touch your shoulder.  Something cold, something hot, all at the same time.  You turn and face the building and gaze into the seeing and unseeing eyes of The Gatekeeper of the Underworld.

Urk hut is a mysterious building which lies West of PaxLair in the grassy valley. Many tortured screams have been heard from this small building, as it is believed to be the home to the Kaar Barashalu Warboss, Gakuct.

Although it is small, Ga'kuct has said on many occasions that a small army of dead elves could fit inside and underneath the house, in the crawlspace. So all Elves, Kobolds, Vampires, Humans, Ettins, Ogres, and any other Non-Orcish creature should watch their step when walking by the Urk Hut.

The Ye Olde Pax Wood Shoppe was established in the Spring 1999 by Eli, who had started his carpentry career long away from PaxLair. Eli started his modest carpentry career by giving away goods beside the great mountains outside of Britain , it wasn't until he moved to Corwyn did he begin a true carpentry career.

At first he had a modest vendor established inside the Mayor's Office in Corwyn, and he diligently operated it until he met a man by the name of Don Martin, who introduced him to PaxLair's Mayor, Winfield. Eli expressed interest in running his own shop, so in the good name of PaxLair, Nightstorm of the Ladies of the Lair, gave Eli a modest small home located inside of PaxLair, so that he could run his own shop.

The shop became one of the most prominent shops in PaxLair, and was operated by Eli for hours on end, working tirelessly in a time when furniture could be stolen by anyone; Eli kept PaxLair in excellent supply.

Today, the home stands as a customized design of Eli’s own and has NPC vendors outside, forever keeping furniture supplied, to those who need it.
