Ruglug (an orc) Becomes a Chancellor of PaxLair

 PAXLAIR, CHESAPEAKE - On the 17th day of December in the year 1999, according to the gods' calendar, townsfolk and orcs met on top of the Order Tower in PaxLair. This is now an historic date because the Mayor of PaxLair appointed the orc Ruglug to the position of Chancellor within the Mayor's office. This is no trivial appointment, because the orcs have been, and in many cases still are, arch rivals and enemies of the peace in PaxLair.
However, with a presentation of evidence by the orc boss Gristle showing that PaxLair was once inhabited by orcs, the Mayor deemed it wise to embrace the orcs rather than shun them off. A diary and a map showed conclusive evidence that orcs once existed in the meadow before PaxLair was built by humans and other races. Mayor Winfield has placed trust with the new Chancellor Ruglug to oversee a digging for more evidence of the existence of the olden orcs. Mayor Winfield will also be seeking an additional Chancellor to balance his office, now that an evil orc is on his staff.  Finally, the Healers of Chesapeake made a proposal to Luthien, the Deputy Council Chairman, regarding a neutral alliance between PaxLair and the Healers. The Mayor deferred the details of the diplomatic negotiations to the PaxLair Council and will await a recommendation so he may make a final decision.
