Subject: Regarding Events of Last Nights Meeting in Paxlair

12/02/2002 Paxlair Town Meeting

Quite the information dissemination last eve, it was. Almost too much for me to keep up with. Here is what I garnered, though:

- Mayor Minsk stepped foward boldly, silencing a debate bewtween two people 'gentlemen, this is my time' she stated. The gentlemen were polite and let her speak.

- Mayor Minsk told me of a Shrine, located in a swamp, in the protected lands of Ilshenar, where those of Valor might raise a Champion and dispatch it. Xandarc, a Knight of Valor, stated that he would like to help, but was unsure as to whether he could make the Adventure Night on Wednesday, as the eastern stars shine, at 9:00pm. It is a possibility for tomorrow nights adventure.

- It was mentioned that at 7:00pm, as the eastern starts shine, that Mythndale Bards gather to tell stories and sing songs of legend. All were encouraged to attend.

- Bandito, who had evidently presented Minsk with a magical Stoat to care for, could not seem to locate the animal in the box he had nailed shut. He claimed the box lid had not been disturbed, and didn't seem to understand how the creature got out. As the marlfox was twined about a small tree, carving runes, the Old Man mentioned he might have more information about the Stoat.

- The Old Man, who has been working very hard on the Paxlair library, along with Earl, Luthien, the Orcish Shaman, Winmere, and the ghosts of many authors, asked for assistance from the Elder Marilla, to locate ethereal books that may be in her care.

*Winfield stated that Paxlair's very history was
under attack*

I wonder what nefarious force is behind that plot?! I suppose Winfield might know more, if you wish to ask him. Is it Valtos the Void again?

Ga'kuct, after nearly consuming some Grub, informed the populace of Paxlair that ORK sought assistance in Lazlo's Blood Bowl competition, to be held this Saturday in the early evening. Many seeking bragging rights stepped forward, but there are many opportunities for teams of seven. Ga'kuct can tell you more - if you can speak Ork.

After the meeting, Monk and I got stuck caring for Kyrstens children, Mudd and Arilou Pkunk. Those four year olds were a handful. I tried milk and cookies - provided by the Ladies of the Lair tavernkeep, Xandarc, but Mudd didn't share. Attempting to scare the wits out of the boy, I polymorphed into a demon, and was promptly pulling an arrow out of my horny hide!

Kids!

Some administrative activities occured regarding the Knights of Paxlair took place, reorganization still paramount in the mind of the Noble Lady Kyrsten.

Proceeding to the tower, as Ryemus and his band of bothersome goons stood about prattling, with many a nonsensical and idiotic *ebil laff*, many of us eventually wound up in the Library, where Winfield was rearranging bookcases, and with the help of the Orcish Shaman, was putting books on finely crafted tables - tales of Ork Virtues, and possibly of Ork shrines, I dunno...

At some point I noticed a piece of *ancient* hide, with scribblings about some mystical artifact

(ohhhh! whud lat? tupid humie rulz! wait a minute! 'i' before 'e' except after 'c'?! Gar! *rips up false rule that people always throw at him* Grrrr!)

...fall out of one of the books binders. I gave it to Ga'kuct. I suppose you can ask that Ork more about what it is.

My eyes sleepy, I called it a night as the others kept working. Hope to be able to see who is about Wednesday!

PS: noteworthy! the Marlfox generously offered to share his gold with those slain last Adventure Night. All thanked the generous creature, but declined.
