FeluccaWho is Lazarus? Oohhh, him.

Just today several signs were put in front of the PaxLair Stablemaster. The signs read as follow:

Greetings - I am both happy and sad to report to tell you that I will be leaving in a week. Sad because I will be leaving PaxLair, but happy that I will be pursuing a dream. I've saved enough gold to go to Papua and study the indigenous creatures of the swamps there. Wish me luck - Lazarus, former PaxLair Stablemaster. (Last day - 10/26) [Tuesday, October 26, 1999]

Well I know we're all sad to see Lazarus go. I'm sure he was a great guy and all, and we all wish we could have gotten to know him better. It was a tad difficult having a nice conversation with the lad, seeing as he is mute and all.

So go to Lazarus and say good bye as you claim your pets. Which brings me to the REAL reason Lazarus may be leaving. I have the itching suspicion that the Gods are behind this. It's probably due to the fact that most of the people who actually used the stables were there to store dragons and other creatures of destruction. For example, it was very easy for someone to claim a dragon they had stabled, kill a person, and then stable the dragon again. In effect, Lazarus was more of a burden then help to PaxLair; in my opinion.

Maybe we've seen the last of people who use their stabling rights as a way of war, or maybe just in the City of PaxLair. I went to the Duir of Yew Tavern in Yew and their Stablemaster is content on staying where she is. So while Lazarus leaves, the problems with him may not leave with him, they may just locate themselves in the other stables across the land.
