Tour of Nidaros

I asked the good folks of Nidaros to give us a tour of their town, following the PaxLair town meeting. Valgard the Grey and Marlene brought a cross-over rune to the town meeting, which we locked down upon the Mage Tower roof. We used the rune to quickly gate to this spot, which is clear of houses and obstructions, on both moons. We crossed over using a moonstone to enter the town of Nidaros.

What words can one use to describe such a jewel of a city, sparkling like a gem in the sun. It is just outside the road to Skara Brae and many inhabitants wandered out into the streets to greet us along the tour. Dorothy Ann, the Town Chacellor and da fishman, the town PR Chief greeted us along with some guild members of the Ranger Traders of Nidaros. The Rangers run a trading station and tavern for travellers. We were told there are four guilds within the town.

Lady Marlene said the town tries to promote at least one event per week. For instance, this Friday, it's a lumberjacking contest. As she represented the Knights of Nidaros, she informed us that they are the town guards and will hold their first weekly meeting this Saturday. I asked if this meeting was open to anyone, as my Knights might be interested in attending. She said the meeting will indeed, be open to all.

First, Valgard the Grey showed us the Embassy of Riversend, next the Nidaros Zoo, and on to the Town Hall of Nidaros. They have a merchant mall area, a tavern, a cafe, and a town Library, all tastefully decorated. The Dew Drop Inn is open every Wednesday from 7-10pm EST. While at the Dew Drop Inn, Valgard the Grey gave me a viking sword to represent the town of Nidaros along with the rune atop PaxLair's Mage Tower. Falcor Trist, a squire of the PaxLair Knights, revealed that he has a house located very near the town of Nidaros.

What wonderful archetecture can be found in their city. It is very pleasing to the eye, very functional, and truly must be a wonderful place to call home. Thanks to all the folks in Nidaros who gave us the tour and the warm welcome. You may find more information about the town of Nidaros here.
