"Mayors Missing

Last evening as the PaxLair ministry gathered for their weekly meeting, the Lady Angel Storm, Guild Mistress of CBR and daughter of the Mayor SortsAngel of Corwyn arrived to deliver very disturbing news.

t seems that not only is the Don Martin, PaxLair's mayor, missing, but the mayor of Corwyn has been missing as well. According to the Lady Angel Storm the mayors were to meet several weeks ago to discuss official business between the two cities. Immediately following her mother was to depart on excursion to Ilshenar.The Lady Angel Storm reported to the ministry that Kirsten Draven, owner of the Dark Fortress in Corwyn, called upon her for a meeting. It was at that meeting that she was informed that her mother was in fact missing and not on the excursion as everyone had thought.
Kirsten gave the Lady Angel Storm a book that reads as follows:

Let it be known that the Witches of Cove do hereby notify the cities of Corwyn and PaxLair that the mayors of said towns are in the care of the orcs at an undisclosed location and are safe...at this time.
The mayors have spent the time of their absence assisting the orcs in their defensive against the savages but are currently being held for future assistance.
The WoC is able to secure the release of the mayors but the price must be paid...
She was also given a torch that is to be lit and left upon the doorstep of the Dark Fortress when the price is secured and payment is ready to be made.
The cities of PaxLair and Corwyn have pledged to band together in their time of need to assist one another in the safe return of their mayors. Both cities ask that all citizens able to join in their effort.
