An impromptu gathering at the Pax Lair Saloon Monday night turned into a "thank you" celebration for Counselors of the shard. Mayor Winfield gathered some night owls, and paged a counselor with the purpose of expressing his appreciation for the difficult, time consuming, and often thankless, task of the Counselor.

Senior Counselor Mindtrip responded first, and discussed with the well wishers some of the challenges facing counselors. He was later joined by other counselors who took time out of their busy schedule to stop by and say "hail".

Many may not be aware, but the counselors are not paid employees of Origin, but rather volunteers. With the opening of more land space, the work load of the counselor has doubled, but the personnel has not. The need for trained and dedicated counselors is greater now than ever before. They all work closely together to insure that many players are helped as soon as possible. This was evidenced even tonight as GM Aegis showed in response to help answer the pages in the Counselor que.

Hat’s off to the volunteers who serve our community here on Ches, and all the shards. We all thank you Counselors for your devotion, dedication, and wonderful team spirit! Keep up the good work!
