Some members of the Alliance, a group that was formed to fight the Minax invasions, reassembled at the Councelor's Guide Hall in Skara Brae for yet another mission.

A few days ago, Auldrek of Shadowcove made a call for help. Lizardmen were over running his home town.

Another call for help was made from Cove. Gazer attacks continued to threaten the town, as were orcs and ettins from nearby Orc Fort.

Our mission was to assist these towns by clearing the monsters threatening them.

In Skara Brae, I was delighted to see the faces of many old friends I had had the honor to fight along side during the undead seige on Trinsic. I was also surprised to see Old Knight.

I met Old Knight several days ago at the fortress near the crossroads southeast of Paxlair. He told the group that gathered wonderful tales of the knights from his time.

As we prepared for our mission, several in our party spoke with Old Knight, seeking wisdom or discussing the state of our world today. One requested to study under him, but that was graciously turned down. Old Knight explained that his purpose here in our time is to teach and inspire, not lead. Upon on departure, Old Knight spoke some words of encouragment that raised our spirits as we stepped through the magical gate to Shadowcove.

The party quickly swept through the swamp, eliminating all monsters in the area. We found few nests of lizardmen in the area. Many in the village had been praying to the gods, pleading to rid of the infestation. Let us hope their prayers were answered.

The party regrouped in Skara Brae again to find Old Knight. He shared a few more tales, and more words of encouragement before we left for Cove.

In Cove, our party met with man who was to lead the assembled force to Orc Fort. A small gazer attack occurred while in Cove that was quickly disposed of. Although our party was small in number and many were concerned about the murderers that frequent the fort, most joined the march. A few mages summoned daemons for assistance and protection. The party valiantly conquered the fort, slaying all the ettins and orcs.

Our mission was a success!

I suggest that you speak with him if you ever encounter the chance. He is truly an inspirational man that brings wisdom to share with all, especially the warriors and knights of our time.
