On a week with no Red Wolf Cafe event, PaxLair welcomed two groups; one old, and one new, to the city — thus producing a meeting that lasted nearly two hours!  In attendance were Mayor Minsk, Lord Monk, Lord Cross MacLeod, Augustus, Kara Bane, Winter, Winmere, CorTesan Doll, Neo Of Lothlore, Taker, Jack, Katarnoca, Ana, Gabriel, Scotia's Insight, Kirthag DiOrsae, Alberich, Shalu, and Zog the Fishmonger — 19 people!

Army of Thieves Welcomed by Mayor Minsk

At the meeting tonight, Mayor Minsk welcomed guildmaster Augustus and the members of the Army of Thieves back to PaxLair.  The Army of Thieves, originally based in Occlo, are notorious for their exceptional pickpocket skills, some of which were even used to steal from Juo'nar during the Fall of Trinsic in 2000.  Keep an eye on your gold coins!

John Blazz Welcomed as New PaxLair Craftsman; others too

They Mayor extended a friendly welcome to Legendary Blacksmith and Tailor, John Blazz, tonight at the meeting.  John Blazz is a smith, tailor, tinker, carpenter, has recently placed a house near the Ladies of the Lair, and is expected to run several vendors out of the smithy shoppe in the new town hall.  After the announcement was made, several other folks in the audience spoke up and said they would be glad to serve as craftspeople too.  Welcome John, and others!

Town Hall Constructed, Opening Planned

Tonight it was announced that the new PaxLair Town Hall was completed, and is presently in the "decorating" phase.  A town hall opening ceremony and party will be held on Thursday June 10th, 2004 at 8:30pm EST.  Door prizes will be given away, a "PaxLair Knowledge Quest" contest will be held, and a few people will perform a play at the new auditorium.  An event announcement is expected to be posted later this week.

Summer Festival Event Planned for PaxLair

CorTesan Doll, on behalf of the CCA and SummerFest council, asked if PaxLair would be hosting an event.  Ambassador Neo replied that plans for a last man standing PvP contest were in the works, and that it might be held at a new arena to be built in the city.  The last man standing contest would pit the shard's best PvPers against each other, for a quick battle that would determine the most skilful killer, and the person who would take home a nice big cheque!  Details of this event are being worked on.

Citizens of Mith from Napa Valley Seek to Join PaxLair

Five citizens from the City of Mith, and island village on the gemshard of Napa Valley, visited the PaxLair Meeting last night, and toured the city.  After years of decline in community population on Napa Valley, the last remaining citizens of Mith have decided to explore other cities on other shards in hopes of finding a bustling Feluccan town.  Group leader, Scotia's Insight led an hour's worth of discussion on the intricacies of community, and the difficulties posed with leaving an existing town behind.  The town of PaxLair continues to remain active after six and a half years of existence, and would be delighted to make home to a band of new citizens.  Welcome to PaxLair, travellers; may your quest be successful in locating a new community!

And that wrapped up the PaxLair meeting this week.  Drinks were served at the Knight's Sky-Top Tavern, and a few people toured the town and new town hall.  See you all next week for a much shorter town meeting, as we join the Red Wolf Cafe for their "Win Anton's Money" contest.
