This week's Paxlair meeting was rather small again, and was kept to one half of an hour in expectation of our attendance at the Red Wolf Cafe's Monthly Regatta.  The meeting consisted of Winfield, Winmere, Neo Of Lothlore, Grimlar Mithrax, Mayor Minsk, Wizard of Id and Gandolf.

Winfield Attends Skara Festival Meeting: Brings back ideas

Old Man Winfield attended the Skara Brae Summer Festival meeting this weekend, and brought back ideas from Lady Xotche of Meade to host a Feluccan event in Paxlair.  One possible plan is to have a PvP fight in the PaxLair arena -- which actually spawns more ideas to fix the arena itself!  The mayor and council are trying to find a solution to locking the arena, and keeping it from being accessed at certain times.  The ideas for the PaxLair Festival event are expected to be discussed publically, soon.

Moment of Thought Held for Zog the Fishmonger

Mayor Minsk led a moment of thought and prayer to the virtues, for Zog the Fishmonger, who has endured a serious personal tragedy in the other realm.  Godspeed Zog!

PaxLair Attends the May Red Wolf Cafe Regatta

After the meeting, folks from PaxLair made their way to the Red Wolf Cafe to sail and crew in the monthly Chesapeake Regatta!  Team PaxLair consisted of Captain Ne(m)o of Lothlore and Minsk, Winmere and Grimlar -- who were unable to help with ship duties due to moongate malfunctions, but did an excellent job of cheering the sailors on!  The race followed the Red Wolf's "Skara Express" course, which took the skippers from Skara Brae, round the South end of the Britannian continent, through the Cape of Heroes, between several islands, and at last to the East Britain docks.  The race proved successful, and Crew PaxLair took home the first place trophy, with Ravhn and Yanni finishing in second and third places respectively.  A pirate contest was then held, which Yanni "the rainbow pirate" won -- with flying colors!!

Gatekeeper Pays a Visit

After all the sea-worthy festivities wrapped up, the Gatekeeper materialized on the roof of the Red Wolf Cafe and questioned the boat races of the night.  The audience was informed that a few boats didn't make shore, and were likely caught up in a storm -- possibly something that the eyes of the underworld had to do with.  The Gatekeeper explained that the newest racer, Ravhn, may hold a secret power; and that certain fissures in the underworld would need to be closed sometime soon.  But before many questions could be asked to the spirit, it *poofed* quickly into the air, trailing off with words that someone was at the gate it keeps!

It was another successful evening, and a fun event at the Red Wolf Cafe!  Thanks to all who attended.
