Winfield Explains the History of Mazrim

Et tu, Brute?  Ah, the ides of March went rather well in PaxLair, with a successful and progressive weekly meeting!  The meeting ran about an hour and a half, and included a small trip to both the new home of Grimlar Mithrax and the establishments owned by the Drunken Bull Irregulars guild [DBx].  In attendance this week were Cross Macleod, Zog the Fishmonger, Winfield, Winmere, Mayor Minsk, Grimlar Mithrax, Chyna, Neo Of Lothlore, Lord Earl, Monk, Oona, Clain and The Gatekeeper - again!

Gauntlet Dropped in Silvervale

Earlier today, Mayor Minsk dropped a challenge to the City of Silvervale, to form a team for an upcoming bagball game between the two cities.  Word has it that the Heartkin Hearts are being formed, as well as another Silvervale City Team.  Rules for the new game should be compiled soon, and will definitely be demonstrated before games from now on!  Currently a tentative date of Sunday March 21st at 8:00 PM EST is set for this matchup, but this could change.

Grimlar Mithrax to Join the PaxLair PeeKayS

Grimlar Mithrax, of the Lyonne Family has decided to join our PaxLair Bagball team!  Huzzah for the newcomer!

Sannio Leaves the Gods of the ORIGIN

In a sad announcement, found here on Stratics; Sannio has decided not to move with the rest of the Gods to Redwood Shores, California.  Sannio is often remembered for his time spent in PaxLair, Aryslan, Shadowcove, Corwyn and Humility as Seer Sannio.  A question was also asked about the fate of Mazrim's Tower of Souls, which Sannio is "holding" for the vacationing Mazrim.  Sannio replied with this, and also stated that he may stop by PaxLair sometime soon:

I didn't forget Mazrim's tower. :] I did a lot of checking into what the fate of it will be. All signs point to the fact that it ain't going nowhere, which was a load off my conscience. Even so, I'm going to make sure the OCR team holds onto the details of that account, for any possible "just in case" situations.

And, yes, I will be keeping my player accounts. I have three at the moment, one of which was supposed to be a temporary account that I kept for just about 13 months now. I may take you up on that invitation
[to come to PaxLair] some time.

Winfield Recites the History of Mazrim

Curious about the history of Mazrim, Grimlar Mithrax asked about the evil lord, and his question was answered with an abridged version, spoken by Winfield.  The Old Man stated that Mazrim turned the newly found Spring of Knowledge into a bloody fountain one week after its discovery, and left it that way for over a year!  Many battles were fought as well against Mazrim, who constructed a replica spring atop his Tower of Souls near Aryslan.  At last, as the old man explained, one good, yet ailing Seer named Daemeon gave up his life to purify the Spring and turn it into the Spring of Courage.  The evil lord Mazrim is actually suspected to still be lurking around Britannia to this day.

Neo Of Lothlore made a Ministry-Council Member of PaxLair

Tonight Neo Of Lothlore was made a member of the PaxLair Council, and was awarded an official Council staff (no it's not a Staff of the Magi!).

Lord Earl to Host a Net Toss on Adventure Night

Earl announced that he had 40 fishing nets, and would like to hold a net toss at a location such as the Magincia Docks, for this Thursday's Adventure Night.  It was discussed that the docks would need to be inspected first to ensure that they are in deep water, and that they are outside guard protection.  In any case, come one, come all to PaxLair this Thursday Night at 9 PM by the eastern sky, for a PaxLair Net Toss!

PaxLair Ministry Council to Convene Sometime Soon

Earl announced that he would be available to host a PaxLair Ministry Council meeting at his castle in the next few weeks.  More on this is to be planned and announced soon.

Proposal to Prevent Recalling/Gating into the PaxLair Arena

Lord Earl put forth the suggestion of asking the gods to place recall and gate restrictions within the PaxLair arena.  These restrictions could help us to host events safely, and without fear of outside attack.  It has also been suggested to redo the old Drunken Orc Tavern, and turn it into an Arena.

PaxLair Library to be Opened to the Public

The DBx Library in Malas

The DBx Library in Malas

Neo Of Lothlore asked if the PaxLair Library was completed and could be opened to the public.  Winfield replied, and announced that the Library would be opened to the public.  Other suggestions included adding shelves and making the library look nicer.  The members of the Drunken Bull Irregulars [DBx] have also constructed a library atop their Malas shoppe, which includes many player-books from around the realm.  A rune to the DBx Library is available in a runebook inside the new PaxLair Inn.

Drunken Bull Roadhouse to Host a Weekly Casino/Tavern Night

The members of the Drunken Bull Irregulars guild are holding a Casino and Tavern Night at their Roadhouse Inn in Malas, this Friday.  The tavern plans to serve lots of drink, have chicken fights, knife contests, high-low sessions and play lots of other fun games!  Everyone is invited to attend, this, and many other Fridays at 8:00 PM by the Eastern Sky.  A rune to the roadhouse can be found inside the PaxLair Inn, as well, gates will be provided and runes will be dropped in the evening on Friday.

Neo and Wizzie Duke it Out at the DBx Roadhouse

After the meeting, the group journeyed to the DBx Library and Roadhouse in Malas, and then to Grimlar Mithrax's new home.  All in all, a very successful meeting was completed this evening, with many topics covered.  Thanks to everyone who attended!

Safe journeys my friends.
