Winmere Discusses Uniforms for the Pax Bagball Team

Upon arriving at this week's meeting in Paxlair, myself and the Lady Mayor, Minsk, were aghasted to see bones, skulls, hearts and orc helms scattered all over the tower roof!  We were quick to point fingers, and have a good laugh at whomever did it!  Winmere carefully picked up the skulls and hearts, and placed them on Zog's horde minion for a safe journey back to Zog's charnel house....errr.... Outpost.  The meeting this week started out with a few people, but quickly gained in numbers.  In attendance were:  Zog the Fishmonger, Winmere, Mayor Minsk, Blyten Adora, Grimlar Mithrax, Cross Macleod, Lasher, Earl, BuD WiEsEr, Ga'kuct, Xotche of Meade and Neo Of Lothlore.

Although the meeting opened on such.... odd terms, a bunch of important and interesting topics were covered.

A Thanks to the Gods for Fixing the Blessings

This week PaxLair had some of its broken blessings fixed by the God, GM Carbon.  Lord GM Carbon first fixed the Fire Monument, after tinkering with oils from the underworld; then after realizing other items were in a state of ill-repair, fixed the proclamation sign from Lord British, a top brick in the arena, and the statue in the centre of town.  Mayor Minsk and all in attendance gave a might "Huzzah" to the skies, as thanks for mending the many nice attractions in town.

More information on the fixing of the blessings can be found at these two links:

Mayor Minsk Chooses a Design for the new Lord Thelorn Town Hall

Mayor Minsk chose the design for the new Town Hall tonight.  After a long and hard struggle with her architect, Winmere decided to release him from her service, and not submit a final design.  The Mayor chose this design by Neo Of Lothlore, overseen by architect Antoni Gestau.  The original designs can be found here.  The only thing the mayor requested to be changed, was a larger residence!  Boy, I wish I had the power of veto like that!!  The architect is reportedly working on a new design for the rooftop residence, that can in some way, still include a rooftop garden and sitting area, while providing the mayor with the necessary room.  Construction of the first three floors is expected to begin soon, undertaken by Lady Winmere and Shen, and should be ready to open within a few weeks.  The new design includes a new meeting hall / theatre, and a blacksmith / tailor shoppe as a salute to the old Second Chance Provisioners shoppe which once sat where the new town hall is being constructed.

Ga'kuct Selected as Ref for the Upcoming Myth -vs- Pax Bagball Game

Mayor Minsk selected Ga'kuct, Warbozz of the Kaar Barashalu Orc Clan, to be the referee for the bagball game scheduled for next Monday, March the 1st.  The orc is expected to be busy trying not to clomp the yellow bagball in frustration while under the trammel ruleset.

Bagball Game Planned for Next Monday, March 1st

After consultation with Lady Eve Le Rieux, Mayor of Mythndale (sister city to PaxLair), the bagball game between Paxlair and Mythndale has been scheduled for nine o' clock by the eastern sky, on Monday March 1st.  The Bagball game is expected to commence after the opening of the new Mythndale and PaxLair Embassies, in each of the towns.  The bagball game will be played out at the new arena in Silvervale, set to be constructed this week.  Rules for the game will be posted shortly, keep tuned to The PaxLair 2004 News site, or the PaxLair Skyboards for more details.

The Two Uniform Designs

The Two Uniform Designs

Lord Cross MacLeod, Champion Paladin of the Paladins of Virtue has designed two uniforms for the PaxLair Peekays Bagball team.  The first design is expected to be the main outfit, while the second can be used for away games.  The costumes were designed to resemble the look of a PK, five years ago (nowadays they wear bronze robes eh!).

Information on the PaxLair Provisions Shoppe & Drunken Orc Tavern Sought

Those at the meeting were asked if they had any information on the old Paxlair Provisions Shoppe, a small plaster house near the Alchemy Shoppe and the old Drunken Orc Tavern *smells bloodale*.  Earl had a few ideas on the former, and Lady Winmere provided that she knew the owner of the latter.  Lord Cross Macleod and Neo Of Lothlore have plans to construct a new arena in Paxlair for tournaments and prizewinning fights.  More details are expected on these two ventures in the next month or so.  Also, if anyone has any information on the PaxLair Provisions Shoppe, please let a citizen of Paxlair know!

This week's meeting was kept shorter than last week's, with a time totalling about an hour and twenty minutes.  No meeting is expected to be held next week due to the bagball game, and the dedication of the two embassies.

Safe journeys my friends.
