This morning, I awoke again to do a bit of questing for Grizelda, had a swig of cider to wake me up, and made my way down the stairs of the Inn, to my mailbox. Expecting to find an advertisement for a company who could help pay off the loan on my Britannian houses, I found this: Hello, I am very sorry but I had no idea...other things were also broken. I did a lap of town and fixed all that I could find...except the bells. I hope this helps you all out some, as it is certainly tough keeping a Felucca town running. I apologize that I could not fix the bells, however I would have to recreate an entirely new item as the system the bells used before no longer exists. Good day to you. GM Carbon The Statue Ecstatic for the second time this week, I let the letter fall to the ground again, and rushed my old legs across town to the Statue Garden, where I found that the statue had been fixed!! Huzzah! It seems like GM Carbon took the time to chip away at the inaccurate parts of the bad statue, and added more mortar to soften the edges that had been pitted and scarred by the Pax meadow's sometimes-harsh wind over the years. The new statue looked very nice, with a little patch of snowdrops at the feet of the people depicted in the design.
The Arena Thrilled by what I saw, I was also curious as to what else may have been repaired, so I took a walk over to the arena. Upon opening the heavy iron door, I found that the top brick, which had been broken from so many years of having tournament spectators stand on, was now replaced with an identical brick, ready for another six years of wear! HUZZAH!!
The Lord British Plaque Just as I thought we had seen the end of the excellent repairs done by the holy GM, I took a walk over to see the Fire Monument again, but something caught my eye. A few dozen steps away, I noticed a nice polished slab of gold and wood glinting in the warm winter sunlight. Squinting for a moment, I decided to investigate, and so moved toward it. As I looked up at the Order tower, I noticed that the Plaque from Lord British, placed there in 1998, had been re-etched and polished with some of the finest arcane polish in the land. Here's a pictorial rendition of what I saw:
Today was another great day for the City of PaxLair, its citizens, its morale and our long term plans for PaxLair's continued existence. Thank you, from the heart GM Carbon, and from the hearts of everyone in PaxLair; for your kind actions.
