With no hissing or clawing from smelly felines beforehand, the PaxLair Thor's Day Adventure group put on a good show in DOOM!  Like a few times before, the group was a bit lacking in numbers, but nothing too small to vanquish an abysmal horror!  Our group this week consisted of Nastasia, Zog the Fishmonger, Cross MacLeod, Lord Monk, Harmort, Neo Of Lothlore and a horde minion.

Entering Doom

After gathering supplies and equipping bows of demon slaying, the team headed to a large alter from which a large bell hung.  Upon ringing the bell, we were greeted by a not-so-friendly Chyloth (most likely a disgruntled Skara Brae ferryman who worked his way up in the ranks!).  Chyloth demanded that we hand him a skull in order for him to let us onto his ferry, which we promptly did without too much hassle (afterall, who could live with the reputation of having been killed by a simple ferryman!).

At the Gauntlet

Land Ho!  We arrived at the gauntlet without trouble, and quickly proceeded into the first room where we were entrusted with the task of killing Darknight Creepers, a strange race of sand coloured creatures with necks as long as a spear!  Round the gauntlet we went, visiting flesh renderers, impalers, shadowknights, abysmal horrors and dark fathers, while stuffing our packs full of nice items.  But just as things were getting good, some of the archers noticed that they were suddenly falling asleep, along with a few of the mages.  In fact, even a horde minion was seen dozing off, only to wake and begin running for its life!

Over the course of two hours we managed to do the Gauntlet two and a half times, until our pockets began to droop to our knees from all of the loot!  Upon returning to the Order Tower, Zog scattered all of the loot on the floor for us to sort through, and Cross distributed the gold that he had accumulated.  Once things had been sorted, and the greedy horde minion kept at bay from all of the expensive loot we decided to go our ways, hoping to at least have dreams of the artifacts that we didn't get!  A fun night was had by everyone, and thanks again to all who attended!
