by Winmere, March 21, 2001

Highlights:

JeTamme - Wants people in town to stick together in prearranged areas each night for support and protection.

Vegeta - Announced the reopening of the Quest Center soon!

Handy Man - Invites others to join him in roleplayed conflict.

JeTamme - Announced that Vegeta helped her retrieve the Mayor's stolen birthday gift, a glacial staff.

Winmere - Announced a meeting in Haven.

Captain Govannon - Announced he will be bringing his Guards to PaxLair for extra protection.

The meeting opens:

Vegeta - We are just discussing ideas about Pax. We like to hear some of your guys opinions on things. Like if something is wrong, or ya want to talk about stuff. If ye are wanting to contact us please email the council at pax_council@chessienet.com.

JeTamme Deesse - I wish to adress the ambush of last night. I was just wondering, could we all stay together in one place at night? The thing is, like last night, Audrey and I were alone.

Vegeta - So, like going to a certain place in Pax each night?

JeTamme Deesse - Yes, like tonight at here, tomorrow the survival shop. Then we could get a guard for every night, at least one. Well?

Most of the audience thought this was a very good idea and either nodded, or voiced their approval. Jon said, "Sounds like a good idea. It would be easier to find other people, if they're all in one place and it offers strength in numbers." Vegeta commented that it would be much like the Tavern schedule.

JeTamme Deesse - Yes. Like monday nights, we'd be at the same place every monday, right? Then everyone would know where to go. I feel that they are ambushing us because there are only a few (of us around). If we are to populate Pax, it will only be a few in the beginning and they will be ambushed and leave, right? Well, I think we should all give this some serious thought and make a descision soon. Thank you for your kindness in listening.

Vegeta - Already in planning. Ok, I'd like to tell everyone that the Quest center will be active again real soon. JeTamme and I are working on it, and if anyone wants to help us out, please tell me. It should be ready for a nice opening here soon.

Winmere asked about the possibility of putting a rune library there. Vegeta replied that they have many ideas for it, but they haven't decided on the final outcome. He said they could put a rune library there if it's needed. Winmere replied that everyone can continue using the rune library at the Elfwood Tavern, which is already set up. Vegeta said the tavern is a little out of the way and maybe everyone doesn't know about it's location yet. Vegeta said he might put some runebooks in the Quest Center.

Handy Man - Hail all! Most of you do not know me very well. Well... most of you do not know me at all! My name is Handy Man and I am the great ale tester of ShadowCove. I came here today to ask your opinions on an idea that my dear sister has cooked up. Would any of you be interested in something called Role Player Wars? This would be organized combat. The main rules to this will be that NO fighting will occur unannounced. If you wish to hold a battle the battle will be more like an event. Not just a suprise attack. It is "honor battles". This would be organized combat, not slay as many people as you can cause WE ARE AT WAR battles. We will try to make it no looting as well, but as you know, that would be really tough to implement. To keep the rules fair and enjoyable, a person from each guild in the RP wars will be on the rules committee. This way every guild has a vote. Not all the details are worked out yet, but we want there to be a purpose behind all the fighting. Well, do you folks have any questions?

When asked for contact information Handy Man said you may reach him at pigeon number of 201323. Some were interested and asked questions about this venture. How will other guilds be notified? How will you tell the difference between friend, or foe? Handy Man stated that all alliances and declarations of war should take place at a weekly meeting and there might be times when it's difficult to quickly identify friends or foes. Handy Man said he would construct a website and interested parties can access it for further information on this venture. Jon stated that his guild might be interested in this. Eric pointed out that you cannot perform beneficial acts when in a warring guild.

CowMaster had to depart and turned the meeting over to Vegeta. There was a small disturbance as a man on horseback rode past the tower. Link asked, "Anyone else see that?" Someone asked, "What?" Link replied, "Tassadar?" Winmere said she "thought" she saw Tassadar, but thought she was seeing things, since Tassadar is an old Knight that perished long ago. Is this the ghost of Tassadar, or has he returned?

JeTamme Deesse - I would like to publically thank everyone and you (Winmere) in particular for their efforts on the Mayors birthday party. Twas a fine effort m'lady. Well, I do have something on that note. I had gotten a very special staff for the Mayor which was stolen minutes upon my arrival. I was deeply saddened that i could not present it to him, but alas, because of the efforts of our Vegeta, who retrieved it within 24 hours, I am now able to present it to him. May I now have a round of applause for his and everyone's efforts?

Winmere said it was too bad the Mayor's birthday had been ruined, but it is the thought that counts. Johari frowned when he learned that the Mayor's birthday gift had been stolen. Many cheers and applause rang out when they heard that the birthday gift had been retreived through the efforts of Vegeta. JeTamme thanked everyone and took her seat.

Winmere - I would like to remind everyone that there is a meeting tonight in Haven. They wish to bring life back to Haven. They invited all who are interested.

Captain Govannon - I've a small contingent of Guards coming this evening upon the ending of tonights meeting, to help out should J-D arrive at their usual time. The only Guards able to make it this eve are young and untested, they are more to compliment the Knights, than fight a battle on their own. As part of the alliance I am working on with Sir Falcor, I will be trying to continue bringing some Guards on Wednesday nights, yet I'm afraid there is little we can do unless the Knights are present in force too. Some of my best Guards are unable to make it in this realm on Wednesday nights, but we will do what we can. I hope we can be of some service.

Handy Man suggested that they should hire the Army of Thieves. Captain Govannon chuckled and said, "There are no thieves in my command." Winmere cheered Govannon's news and said, "It is a noble gesture, indeed."

Sir Mark II - Hello all. Im sure only the old members of Pax remember me. Yes, I have been changed by trammel. I trust not to come in best armor any more, so they only get old stuff. How has pax been?

Winmere was delighted to see Sir Mark and welcomed him back, as did many others. Sir Mark was told the PaxLair fares well, despite all the problems of daily strife.

Sir Mark II - What of the new mayor? I wanted to say goodbye to Winfield, but never got the chance.. A shame it was. That is why I came, to see him. Oh well, perhaps we'll cross paths once again. I was wondering, does pax still have quests?

Sir Mark was informed that the new Mayor Don Martin is doing good and he should come meet him sometime. They told Sir Mark that Winfield still visits the town even though he spends most of his time fishing now. Sir Mark was told there had been no quests in a while.

Sir Mark II - Ah... I bring news then. I belive Havenwood, in the Trammel facet, is having a tourney sometime. I belive guilds are ivited, 4 members. I havn't gotten all the facts, but tis something to look forward to, if anyone is interrested.

It was suggested that maybe a group could attend the tourney to represent PaxLair. At that moment, Winmere thought she spied Tassadar again. Others asked, "Who is Tassadar?" Winmere explained that Tassadar is, or was, a great Knight who perished. Since no one had anything they wished to discuss, Winmere closed the meeting.
