This was the first official meeting held by the new Mayor of PaxLair, Don Martin de Leon. Shortly before the meeting began, Mayor Don Martin welcomed Foulsbane to PaxLair and introduced him to the early arrivals. Neo of Lothlore seemed to be experiencing a painful rash, along with chills and spasms. An old vampire wound seemed to be causing these symptoms. Beleg and Snowdrop tried to figure out a cure for Neo. The meeting opened to a round of cheers and applause.

Don Martin - Welcome to the 1st PaxLair Inter-City Meeting of the new administration. I am Mayor Don Martin de Leon. These meetings are important because it helps the Council understand your feelings. Please allow the floor to recognize you before speaking.

A couple of issues before we get started. Vegeta has waited far too long, tonight after the meeting would be a great time for us all to show our appreciation by witnessing his acceptence as a Citizen of the City of PaxLair. Also, if you haven't noticed, the Chesapeake Quest Center and Casino has been open most evenings and has a new Barmaiden, the lovely JeTamme, welcome my dear. Please go by and experience some good old fashioned hospitality.

I would like to announce that Serena, a very respected member of the community, has joined us as a Citizen of Paxlair and an Emissary. Please give her a PaxLair welcome when you see her!!! I have asked the honorable Trigg of the CCoV to speak to us tonight about an issue that has always brought our people together. I am talking about the 3rd Annual CCoV Olympics. Please give a warm PaxLair welcome to the Honorable TRIGG!!!!

KEF Trigg - Thank you for having me mayor. I will be breif. For those that havent heard, we are having the 3rd All Britainia Olympics, but this time the CCoV is making a change in our format. This time we will be geared in trying to draw the community closer..and allow everyone to visit all the roleplayer towns that exist to do this. We are hoping for the support of these player towns, instead of events being held by British towns, they are now held by rp towns. The teams are still the same, where the head of each virtue will try to lead their team to win the most medals for their virtue. Each town will hold at least 2 events. It will be a cross facet event of course...we hope this will draw the community together. Also, single player establishments are encouraged to advertise during these events. By doing this we hope that not only the rp towns prosper from this, but single player establishments can also. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. We are slated to have the olympics by April. We are trying to help those build up a base for them to last.

JeTamme Deesse - Sir? Will there be rules and how to's be posted, for newcomers i mean?
KEF Trigg - Yes there will be rules of how events are played. Angelstorm will be doing that. You will see some old events revised and some new events.
Winmere - Many have asked me about Olympic Medals for the winners. I have told them the medals are no longer available. Is that correct?
KEF Trigg - Lady Angelstorm is working on that. She seems positive, but if not, we will have other prizes for the winners. We will have to wait for the Gods.
Don Martin - How will the single play places advertise?
KEF Trigg - We are still working on that. Currently we are thinking of using rune books and allow players to put rune in these books. CCOV will pass out copies of these books.

The meeting was interrupted when Mayor Don Martin was attacked by Ross, the Assassin. Unfortunately, many went to heal the Mayor only to discover, he was poisoned by the Assassin's blade. The cure came too late and the Mayor fell to the to the Assassin's poisoned blade. KEF Trigg, Jon, and Gareth Soulbane immediately dispatched the Assassin. Gareth vowed that this Ross would die on sight, but some speculated that Ross might not be his real name.

KEF Trigg asked, "Should we hang the body somewhere?", while Beleg suggested it be cut to shreds. JeTamme Deesse was distressed and wondered how anyone could do this to the Mayor. KEF Trigg replied, "They wish to intimidate the new mayor, but i know he wont let them do that." After a quick resurrection and healing, the Mayor assured everyone he was fine and went back to the business of the town meeting.

Mayor asks about Guards

Don Martin: We have a meeting. This is Felucca. Good people, this is the world we live in. This is Not Trammel. We grin and bear it. We do need more people in the Guardians of PaxLair. Any thought on Guards? The Knights do not do the fighting. That is for the Towne Guards.

Beleg wondered if Guards were needed, while Winmere thought more were needed. JeTamme suggested setting up a recruitment center in other towns. Zann wondered, "So this means there will actually be people in this town?" Winmere suggested a talk with Cirion, the Captain of the Guards, to see what is needed, then maybe a recruitment drive.

Don Martin - I would be very interested in your views on the PaxWars, so that we may determine future policy. There are those who feel, if we wanted to be safe we would be on Trammel. If we wanted to be slaughtered we would be on Siege Perilous.

Roland - People stay in Pax cause there is excitment, but being slatered by J-D is not excitment.
JeTamme Deesse - Indeed, we need to assess this.
KEF Trigg - Well I don't live here, but if you try you might fail. If you don't try, you will fail. Worth a try ;)

Don Martin - As I was saying, Is there a way to find Balance? This isn't an issue we will settle tonight, but we do have active discussion boards. I was killed tonight. I was killed the night I became mayor. It is true that one of the Caitiff, Karak, attacked and killed me. It is also true that Lady Morgaine, of the Caitiff, escorted me safely to the CCoV Meeting. I find the Chaos and Order of it to be Balanced. The question is, how do you all feel?

Beleg Cuithalion - I ask what started the wars?

Falcor Trist - Well J-D is easy. I have never trusted them, any of them. They seem to have a hidden motive. J-D is the biggest threat, but easily dealt with. Hit them the way they hit us. They will back off if you hit hard enough. We will need a good sized force.

The formal alliance between J-D and B*D was mentioned. JeTamme thought recruiting was the key. KEF Trigg replied, "We have to remember they die just as easily as we do. We will need a strong force, with capable leaders." Winmere suggested practice sessions for the force and Falcor suggested good communication.

Falcor Trist - J-D alone, is sixty strong, but we have an advantge when we take one off the battle field, he is gone for quite awhile. First thing, as has been said, we need people and presence in Town. After we build, we attack. When asked who will lead this, Falcor replied, "Well you have a captain of the guard and the Knights, both are small. It will be a hard long road.

JeTamme Deesse - Could we perhaps, speak about a stronger presence in Pax? I for one, have dedicated a portion of my evening to it. Perhaps someone will join me?JeTamme Deesse: perhaps we could get a log book and people could volunteer their time?

Falcor Trist - I will. We have a book by the arena. There are rumors that there is alot going on inside the Knights. I can not say what, as of yet, though. We must all put forth alot at this time. Supplies is anther isssue, arrows, armor, weapons, reagents, and potions. Mayor, maybe you should start a supply drive?

Don Martin speaks to Falcor

JeTamme suggested a list and storage space was needed. The Mayor agreed to a supply drive. He said that Falcor was a good man and had always been good to Pax. The Mayor asked Falcor to head the drive and Falcor agreed. Falcor said he would need others to donate their time to this effort, too.

Don Martin - There is the question of Vetega's shop, The Elfwood Tavern's place in Pax. Considering all the recent Pax activity lately, should it be added?

The consensus was that the Elfwood Tavern would officially become part of PaxLair.

Don Martin - Events. We need some events in Pax.

JeTamme Deesse - Perhaps we could have a renaissance, or a showcasing of all the different shops and offerings, a carnavil of sorts?

A carnival was agreed upon and the Mayor asked JeTamme to head this effort. JeTamme bashfully agreed. Mayor Don Martin said this would work well with Falcor's drive for supplies. Winmere said she would begin holding weekly adventure groups again. Mayor Don Martin closed the meeting and thanked everyone for coming. Monk invited everyone to visit Luigi's for free pizza!
