On January 2nd, 19100 (it's a joke, really yr 2000), an army of spiders attacked the City of PaxLair. They came in great numbers, with classes and what appeared to be leaders. A red spider with the name "a daemonic spider" was clearly the leader of the spiders themselves, and was a very hard foe to defeat. The second dominate creature was a liche lord, but with the human name of Ardian. Ardian moved around fast and claimed to be looking for a book. He was very powerful, and hardly any damage could be inflicted upon him.

"Bring me Y'thras! *seems to notice the mortals* Why are you not all dead?" Ardian said.

Now, Ardian appears again, with his army of spiders beside him. He unleashed his hoards, and attacked the Falconer's Inn, a popular tavern near the City of Yew. The spiders came in more force then before, and many warriors were called in to battle them. Ardian proved to be a very big match, as the warriors finally got a chance to test his powers. Five or so warriors, mages, and the like all attacked Ardian, and could not do significant damage to him.

When Ardian disappeared, and all the spiders were gone, the mystery was still left unsolved. This time Ardian continued to yell about Y'thras and how he will be "brought back." Fortunately, I have been doing some research and was able to aquire some more information on Ardian and his reasons for these attacks. Per a contact of mine, I learned that a good while ago a mage from Vesper, whose name is unknown, lead a raid for the book Ardian speaks about. The raid was to the tomb of Ardian located in the Vesper Graveyard, about three weeks ago.  Legions of undead and Ardian himself were fought to allow the mage to retrieve the text.  Who this mage is, and what he plans for the book is unknown. This is, however, all we know. It is important that more of this information on the raid of Ardian's tomb is found. If this mage who lead the raid can be identified or information on the book can be found, then perhaps a way to get Ardian to stop will be possible. If you know anything of what was just described, please come forward.
