The hallowed halls of antiquity
Yet withstand the test of ages.
Boulder and brick and moss covered stone
Still the the beacons that stand alone
Against the fall of night,
and the demise of virtue.

A small blossom in the fetid lands
Fragile and despondent yet
Tended by loving hands
that regret
no pain
or loss
or suffering
that to all this message hopeful brings
news of honors and other things!

It just so happens, in these war-torn dales
Where life is fleeting, as courage fails
That after the Chaos and Ashes are
swept aside,
what remains, belongs to all.
Both those who tested
and those who tried
no matter who lay bested
or who had died
A city of wonder, a city fair
Every souls city - The City of Paxlair

The storms of time may leave a weathered mark
yet new seeds sprout
from dormant soil
as secret servants toil
to bring you out
For an evening of Celebration and Lore,
and yet more
History in the making.

Rites of Honor, the Assumption of Power
come meet our new Mayor, so dour
yet so giving and sweet that you should bring flowers!
Contests of might, and those of magic
A quest who's outcome we hope is not tragic
(no promises!)
A gateway to places seen by few,
all these things and more, await you!

For you see, Lords and Ladies,
It is time for Paxlairs 4th anniversary!

This shall occur on January 19th:

6:00pm Test of Brawn and Skill and
Clanging weapon thingies.
Tower arena. Overseen by the
Noble Paladin Cross MacLeod and Chyna

7:00pm A tour of unique and interesting
places. Overseen by Winmere

7:30pm What fun can you have with summoned
Beasts? Find out at the same time
the New Mayor oversees the contest!
Overseen with love by Mayor Minsk!

Sometime after that: A Quest! Is that
the wailing of that strange spirit,
the Gatekeeper? *shivers*

9:00pm A ceremony of recognition and honors
As the Old Man applauds Mayor Minsk's
Acendancy as Mayor.

Lying around just about all over shall be tomes
of History regarding tales of Paxlair for the
perusal of those who don't know about the vast lore
and history of the town.

Mage and Warrior visitors please see me for a potential 'derby'
as you visit. If enough people participate, a nice
prize awaits the top hat. Do you have nerves of steel
and the luck of the devil?

Oh! contests will have prizes, as usual.
Seeing as how it is the towns Anniversary, I
encourage one and all to bring gifts!
