Spiders attack PaxLair!   

When I arrived in PaxLair late this eve, I was astounded to be greeted by four spiders. All of them just seemed to pop up at once, and of course, with my luck, all of them attacked me at once. I was quick to dispatch them, and continued on my way. Upon entering the town square, I looked around me to see many warriors and mages alike battling many a spider. There were spiders everywhere, not good news for anyone who seeks refuge on the kitchen chairs when a spider crawls its way through.

The spiders just kept coming, and in great numbers. There were giant spiders, dread lord spiders, and even the rare type, black widows. After several battles two dominate creatures emerged in the mess. There was a bright red colour spider bearing the name, a daemonic spider. It was very powerful, and took several warriors to bring it down. In the end a kind fellow dispatched it with his nightmare.

The second dominate creature was a liche lord, but with the human name of Ardian. It was more powerful then any creature I've ever seen, and several GrandMaster warriors barely scratched it's skin. It moved about the battling fast, like it was looking for something. It didn't pay any attention to us, and only said a few words. Ardian spoke of a book of prophecies, and mentioned the name Y'thras.

"Bring me Y'thras! *seems to notice the mortals* Why are you not all dead?" Ardian said.

In the end all the spiders were vanquished and the crowd of defenders started to disperse. Who or what is Y'thras, and what is this book? These are questions which just could not be answered. Nor could the relevance of the spiders be connected with anything in the past. Only time will tell what will come of this.
