"The last
thing I remember before dying were those eye's that belonged to the
dark robed wizard. That seems like an eternity ago now." Kerrs
looked around his glass prison and wondered if he'd ever discover the
bottom of this "well of arms". He came to call it that because these
hideous ghastly arms and faces surrounded this whole hole downward to
the underworld. From arm to arm the bottle containing Kerrs' soul
circled downward into the abyss. Each arm was careful never to break
the bottle, but none were ever nice. Some arms would shake the bottle,
while others would taunt him and even refer to him by name. When lucky
some arms passed him along quiet gently, but the momentary lapse of
chaos didn't help much. Suddenly, just as Kerrs thought another victim
of his was about to poke fun at him, he noticed he stopped moving
downward...
" Kerrs! Tis I the Japa you contacted me on earth!" Said one of the
faces from the wall. " You told me if I help you when you die, you'd
help me be free of this place!"
Kerrs jumped at this first sign of hope and replied, " Arrr, break me
prison and I'll make sure we will be free of this torture!" Read more |

Treachery! The beastly fiends! Nevyn and his crew have found undeniable proof that Savages have taken Kerrs Holly! The only thing left is the cutlass Kerrs held. The horror of this news is unsettling to the DAGR crew. Most who knew him were aware of the long standing rancor against the Savages, despite the Savage Ale brought back by Greyylene.
There is some degree of suspicion as to the validity of the account brought back by the USN envoy. DAGR and USN have come to a temporary truce to battle with the Juka as a united front against the common enemy, however the not so distant past warrant for Kerr's is not forgotten by either side. It is said the look on Nevyn's face when he reported the incident was of some degree of horror and sorrow, perhaps it is sorrow at not having been able to take the Pirate himself.
Town's people across the land met this news with mixed emotions. One full town threw a party complete with a parade at the news of no longer being raided by the notorious pirate. Others reactions are filled with suspicion and disbelief, those towns where the brothels lie and the bar tenders will miss his ale and gold not to mention the stories of his adventures.
It is a grave loss for our DAGR guild! A memorial service will be held as soon as we have remains returned to our Island. Long Live the Memory of Kerrs Holly of the DAGR Pirates!! |

Receiving word of Greyylene's unfortunate incarceration and subsequent treatment Bad Juju was compelled to investigate this treatment for himself as well as bring provisions that would be a bit more comfortable. Quietly he snuck into the jail, seemingly unseen, to investigate her wounds and to deliver rations and a pillow. What he failed to know was the spy outside watching the goings on and reporting back to Tiberius.
Before she had opportunity to enjoy the newly acquired provisions the Navy Commodore barged into her cage seeking to beat the where about of her unsanctioned visitor. Beating her nearly to death he continued to question without any satisfaction. Left to clean her own blood yet again she was left to find the lock pick Juju had concealed in some chicken, which almost broke her tooth as she bit into it. Tiberius yet again proves he is the heavy hand of justice.

It has been told that when a bird is captured yet allowed to remain "free" the owner will clip its wings so it may not fly far from home. Perhaps this is the reasoning for the incessant beatings at the hand of Tiberius. He demands information, yet there is none to give, and he is well aware of this. To what end does he play this vicious game?
Daily the same routine took place. Tiberius would walk into the cell smile a wicked knowing grin, demand information and proceeds to deliver 10 lashes then leaves her standing in a small pool of her own blood. He has proven to be a wily foe and nothing he does is without reason. This recurring torture session only proved to what type a man Tiberius really is.
At the sight of him enter; she reset her resolve not to say anything. This day there was a different air as he approached. He grabbed her wrist and held it a moment, looking straight into her eyes he spoke the words she had come to expect. Today the command was almost whispered before he continued with the beating. At the conclusion he left as usual, only laughing a fierce sneer undoing the bit of resolve left in the Pirate.

Our friendly little war has turned personal, now both sides have taken prisoners. For Pirates prisoners are useless waste of space and air. For the Navy, it appears, prisoners are much more important.

Meandering aimlessly about the realm Greyylene wanders into the Guardian Gate tavern in complete disregard and blatant rebellion to any rules of warfare. She sits at the bar with her back to the wall and orders a tall glass of wine. Herders and brigands pass by with little to no notice of the hidden trespasser in the bar. Suddenly and without warning she is revealed by Tiberius himself and cut badly. The chase is on as she runs headlong through the swamps leaving a blood trail to follow.
A mighty chase gave way at the Guardian Gate lighthouse jail where from exhaustion and mortally wounded Greyylene is forced to yield. Shackled and led limping into the cell Tiberius stood with a smug smile at his caged bird. "In the years Soul Reaver served his only prisoner was one he manufactured. Where now I in one week have already caged myself a Pirate wench." Now as the recent spectacle of the USN Greyylene stands as a jolly joke battered and caged.
She eyed Tiberius with disdain and distrust as he began to pace before her cell doors. An evil and deeply troubling grin spread across his face as he peered through the bars at his little prize. The choice presented to her was neither comfortable nor appetizing. As way of curbing the elusive and still at large Kerrs Holly the offer that had been originally set no long was available. No more was there the option of joining the Navy and earning freedom, now the choice was to be burnt at the stake or hanging at the gallows. "The choice is entirely up to you, my dear." As he left his malicious laughter echoed in the small cell walls.

"Well these navy dogs sure do know when to pick a time to fight."
"May-hap they turned tail and ran, we do have our best warriors guarding the island..."
"Nay, ol' commodore Reaver is too proud not to show, he will be here, I just don't know how he expects us to fight at night."
"Too bad your not an elf Kerrs, night, day... no difference to us."
"Well then its a good thing we got a hand ful of your kind with us tonight commodore Buds. You elves will be our eyes."
The Night air was filled with electricity as the pirates gathered around a Bonn-fire and awaited their enemy. Sharpened swords and spears were at the ready to meet the navy dogs. The sandy beach of Port Baldmor was soon to become a battle scene to remember. High above the beach on top of watch towers and the roofs of houses, scouts watched vigilantly at the horizon for approaching ships. Sipping on ale to calm their nerves the Red Dagger Pirates were giving up hope of a battle tonight.

Storm clouds gather as if a warning of ominous things to come. Low spawns in normally high hunting areas have brought many a hunter to the depths of scavenger. Even dungeons where enemies seldom meet have become a common meeting area. DAGR and Navy now forced to share space in peace for a common goal. These heated tensions shalt most assuredly come to an explosive altercation soon.
As the day wore on the feeling of disaster still hung heavy in the air as a wet blanket on a cold night. A meeting of forces in Despise took an "accidental" turn when the Admiral's area damage took Buds Shadow to the grave. The smug look on Roland's face was quite dispersed when several other DAGR's appeared to aid their fallen comrade. The disgraced Naval officer's despair was brought to an even lower depth when his Commodore cornered him in Shame (how appropriate) to arrest Roland for high treason.
"Admiral Roland Martin, you are being arrested for fraternization with the enemy, and treason you will remain in jail until such time as the officers of the USN can hold a Trial."
The stealthed Greyylene snuck back to the Lighthouse jail hiding in her usual corner to hear any other reports of jest or rouse. The Admiral looked quite downtrodden and distraught at the thought of having to stand trial by his peers and those below him in rank. Pacing and looking quite exhausted he was unaware of the presence watching his misery. Time will soon tell the fate of our valiant Admiral Roland Martin, yet the feeling of a dark destiny yet looms in the air. |

*Talk ya Navy dog or we'll release the Treatments Team!!*
*slight nasal hiss from behind the closed curtain*
"Please, sir, try not to wriggle *hiss* this goes so much easier when you don't wriggle *hiss* *cough*."
*blood curdling scream*
*slight whimpering moans*
*hiss* "SIR, you weren't listening to me!! Now Loook! Your ears came Clean off your head!" *hiss*

Hours and hours it seemed that the Treatment Team spent with our Prisoner. T'was thought that the torture was more to hone skills rather than gain information. In any event the desired effects were had. A ransom was delivered with the brutality in evidence and is quite certain that demands, no matter how pithy, will be answered.
Civility strained as the ransom meeting progressed. The look of horror and disbelief on the faces of the Navy Commodore and Admiral stretched their patience far beyond normal men, for this alone was an impressive show of control, as they were presented with our 'evidence' of treatment. Perhaps this reason was why the others in attendance were not shown the box that Mark delivered.
High strung and antsy the other Navy dogs roamed and fretted about as delinquent children. After the meeting and Mark's dismissal, in relative safety, Greyylene was discovered listening to the ensuing conversations seeking knowledge of the general attitude and perhaps some plans to be taken. Quite graciously the Commodore escorted Greyylene to a less confined area, there was shared Navy Wine to ease the heartache of their battered comrade and perhaps allow for safe escape for the snooping elf.
Meanwhile back on Baldmore Island other Pirates were basking in the glow of vicious victory and an emotional blow to the Navy. Kerrs Holly anxious to embarrass the USN further challenged Roland Martin to a duel. This duel was scheduled to be held at the fight arena and they did take the Admiral's ship "The Nidaros". As soon as they hit open waters Kerrs opened fire with all his Pirate venom and killed the unsuspecting Roland taking his key and hijacking the boat. "Never trust a Pirate" was the last thing Roland heard before seeing the entrance to the Nether World. Insult to injury now the Navy must retrieve not only their captured officer but also the Admiral's ship.

It would appear that there was a secret memo released by the United Sosarian Navy which plainly dictates that any and all altercations with the Red Dagger Pirates must be avoided at all cost. So much hype at the discovery of the DAGR hideout has proven to be a bit of a tease. Tis believed that this is rouse is merely to cause the Pirates to be so grievously bloodthirsty that they begin to turn on themselves.
For the only other explanation would be that the Navy lost their way at sea searching for the hideout. Read more |

Torches lit on sandy shores, food fit for a king (perhaps t'was the
king's), rum and ale running free, and treasures to be discovered this
is a party fit for a Pirate! It has been said that the Pirates would
never see a year together outside a jail cell, especially those of the
king's Navy, but this day we proved them quite incorrect. Not only
are we yet free from shackles, but we are proud to yet roam the
sovereign lands with mischief and mayhem as our guide. Celebration
must be had while the having is yet available. Today we drink and
eat and revel in the knowledge that tomorrow we may never see.
As we sit by the firelight drinking our Pirate ale and reliving the
tales of our adventures it has come to mind that more is necessary.
More of what? Well asked indeed! MORE of All, say we. More is what

PORT BALDMOR (TRAMMEL), PAXLAIR - January 16, 2007
Residents and visitors reported terror in the waters and on the beaches during Port Baldmor's 1st Anniversary celebration on January 16, 2007. Even more monsters came from the woods on Bald Isle as some treasure seekers dug up chests. The sand on the beach also devoured furniture and at times trapped people as they drank ale.
Many pirate ships and other seafaring vessels answered the call to Port Baldmor's shores. All engaged in combat with monsters of the deep. No one could say for certain why these monsters were particularly interested in Port Baldmor. One pirate said "Arr Matey, they come out of the watery depths to scare us off our isle! Instead, we kill 'em and make some crawl out on da plank!"
Leviathons also dared to attack the beach. They were quickly turned into crustacean goo.
The partying and revelry continued on the isle for many hours into the evening. Visitors from far off places such as Guardians Gate arrived by ship or magical means.
Port Baldmor celebrated one year of its official existence as a pirate city. During that year, Port Baldmor captured the attention of many people on the Shard. The resident pirates of DAGR and other guilds continue to dominate the south seas, finding ships and shorelines to pillage and plunder. There is also confirmation that the pirates are campaigning in other areas of the Shard to expand their influence and wealth. All will need to watch the progress of the pirates over the next year, and mark this day as the Day of the Pirate.

It is a bitter admission to lose a quarry made worse to know that it was our foe from which secrets were acquired most craftily. The battle was heated and well fought yet our ultimate prize slipped through our fingers.
Laying in wait for a laden cargo ship known to pass Vharcan and its crew jumped one of the Navy convoy in protection but not before reinforcements came and encircled her trapping the Pirates. T'was a long waged battle but the end saw the Vharcan boarded and taken by USN dogs. Quickly upon their tails came the Bail Faster filled with mighty men to take up arms and assist in reclaiming the lost vessel.
Juju and Jackman took many Navy hides and made possible for Greyylene to reclaim her ship full of the king's henchmen. This distraction was well enough to allow the Cargo ship to slip through the defenses of Pirates. Sitting in the midst of the deep sea a deck full of Navy bodies and taking on water the Vharcan saw the Cargo vessel sail by with no escort and free for the taking, yet with no recourse or ability to pursue.
Bitter the victory in battle yet a great loss of the prize. The day goes to the Navy dogs, yet the lesson learned well and perhaps next time will be an outcome most different!

Hidden deep in the hull of the Vharcan lies a secret stash of special Savage ale. This special brew has an intoxicating power a bit stronger than that of human stout and even Elves may have difficulty holding it well. Acquired on voyages deep within the jungles and swamps Greyylene holds it secure for special visitors and occasions of importance or potential. Some would say its been a cursed brew, as its acquisition was less than honorably gained, where others swear it is made by Savage gods for ceremonial use alone and thus giving it properties of mind control and a tongue loosed of secrets.
It is well known that the Navy Dogs cannot hold their liquor; when opportunity arose to entertain the great Roland Martin aboard the Vharcan ale and wine ran free and wild. On the pretence of a friendly encounter the Ambassador was heartily welcomed aboard. Many bottles were expired and a great deal of talk ensued. Secrets of the United Sosarian Navy did become loose and free as the ale. With this information newly acquired the plans were quickly dispatched to eager and waiting ears of Pirates lusty for adventure and short in treasure.
May ye sail well, lads!

Found adrift in the open seas surrounded by vicious creatures and half crazed by exposure to the elements the runaground pirate was returning to Port Baldmor and welcomed by Budswoman and Kerrs Holly.
His hair raising tales of adventure and danger will soon be fodder for myth and legends to be passed from generation to generation. Long will be told of great beasts from the sea, savage natives and lofty pursuits of abundant treasures. SOMEWHERE IN THE REALM - January 11, 2007
Desperate to find their missing ships the Navy dogs have searched vigorously throughout the kingdom hoping against all odds to find them yet in tact. Tripping over old bones and loose cobble stones they did quite fall into the heart of the Pirate's lair. Quietly searching this new place of forbidden treasures the scouts toured the grounds in hopes of finding evidence to bring the salty dogs to "justice". A deep pool in the midst of the cave gave tale of possibilities. Torn color standards, pieces of hull and the figure head of a Merchant Ship lost long ago now turned to rubbish in piles of forgotten artifacts used as kindling. On the verge of a major discovery and perhaps the final breakthrough to cage all the Pirate clan turmoil erupted as the cavern filled with clashing blades, singing arrows and vicious spells hurled from the very ones the Navy sought.
Wave after wave of DAGR onslaught the USN tried to no avail to secure an escape. One after another of the vicious kings men fell valiant in the attempt to save their sorry hides. Pent up energies and impatient aggression from repeated quiet insults of Navy treachery all released in this last foul confrontation of assumed allies. Jackman, angel of death, Tel Ket, Kerrs Holly along with the rest of the crews unleashed a horde of angry attacks felling Navy again and again.
The first kill was chalked to Bullseye who in one ferocious show of power and cunning felled the USN Storm with a deadly arrow pinning her to the floor. Blind savage energy and focus in the heat of battle earned Bullseye hearty praise and a bottle of ale to celebrate. Alongside bullseye came Zendatta with his singing blade of ruthless poison and the deamon who calls him master. As a team they did fell one after another of the enemy intruders.
Frenzied battle worn and bleeding the Navy dogs did receive more rudeness as the ground shook from an arctic ogre lord brought out to do the bidding of Bad Juju. Adding insult to injury Bad Juju took the form of a chicken to rain down insults and mayhem on the war worn USN soldiers. More icy onslaughts vexed the dwindling numbers as summoned Revenants hounded those who would attempt to hide and stealth quietly away. Crafty Pirates and their devious measures to scurry Navy rats from hiding employed all kinds of devils to do their bidding.
The grand discovery of the USN came at a high price. The telling of this secret may go down as one of the great unsolved mysteries in the king's history. In the end Navy dogs were sent whimpering away tails tucked firmly between their legs.

SOMEWHERE AT SEA AND COASTAL WATERS - January 8, 2007
Rumors have been high flung that the USN has a new secret weapon in their arsenal. This day t'was discovered by some crafty DAGR that the water in the Navy port is quite hard! Amazement and shock rang through the decks as the discovery was realized water firm enough to walk upon would be a most unusual asset to be sure! For now sea battles, which seem to be the Navy's downfall, would now become land battles for which they alone were prepared. What an advantage is to be had by these crafty devils. Perhaps to ground the Pirate ships will give an extra bit of chaos in order to take by surprise the DAGR crews.
Little well known fact though is that Pirates art quite used to chaos, for to be sure tis what we bring where e're we voyage.

COASTAL AREAS AND A T SEA, SOSARIA - January 7, 2007
Vicious rumors have floated above the waves of mysterious disappearances of Navy ships. Perhaps some deep sea monsters have taken these vessels and buried them deep beneath the blue. Mayhaps the strange sighting of the "Flying Dutchman" is indeed true, and this ghost crew has captured the exhausted sea farers to sail in oblivion for all eternity.
Legends and tales of long ago misfortunes haunt the bewitched United Sosarian Navy (USN) crew driving the few to insanity and beyond. There were yet tales of once strong and mentally sound officers throwing themselves to the mercies of the raging currents. Entire crews have been found frozen in time adrift on the seas frightened to death. Certainly there is some fiendish work afoot, a devilish beast from the depths come to the surface wreaking havoc upon unsuspecting Guardians of His Royal Highness. Such vengeance upon offenses unknown -- is there no recourse for such an action? Could there be any possible proof of another explanation for these mysterious disappearances?

Simple nondescript harmless looking dark rocks which hold a terrible power that when unleashed turns even the most peaceful creatures violent. Noble creatures big and small become vicious and unmanageable when infected with black rock. What is worse yet is that the infection comes from the mages that encounter these beasts. It is a simple spell but with dire consequences.
To simply utter the magic incantation will cause a chain reaction within the rock exploding with violence. After the thick blue smoke subsides the effects begin turning any somewhat sane mage into a raving maniac with the ability to infect those around them. They have claimed to hear voices telling them to do horrible things, and given the black rock disease to pass to others.
One mage when interviewed was heard to say, "Oh Shut Up! Get out of my head!"
Is there any more to be said to this? These black rock elementals and the other fiendish minions from the Pit of Hell should never have been summoned to this realm. Now they are here it is the quiet and innocent that must suffer to do their bidding. Several of the DAGR's are possessed by this fiendish trickery from the depths, it is yet unknown what ill effects yet remain for these who have been overcome by such an illness. Perhaps an Exorcism will be required to rid them of their vexation.

Pirates are known for their ability to navigate the open ocean with great skill and ease. There are some of these salty dogs art much better than others in finding bounty on the high seas.
A new member of the DAGR clan has recently earned her name. The captain of the 'Elena Sare' one Erin de'Winter tells harrowing tales of adventure and danger. In the ever vigilant search for "honest Pirate" payments, Erin and her crew set sail in search of fame and fortune. The fortune comes easily enough; the fame however is a bit more fickle.

The sun rose blazing red over the emerald sea, the tide easy and calm. The 'Elena Sare' pressed hard into familiar waters seeking a King's ransom from a sunken galleon. Close to the quarry the deep waters gave an ominous still to the crew and captain. Pulling fish after fish in vain hopes of a heavy chest the sailors continued the quest. A harsh tug and a splash soon gave way to a vicious deep sea serpent hell bent on the destruction and utter demise of ship and crew. Clashes of blades, spells and the hideous screams of a dying creature showed the victorious crew the exact location of the treasure they sought. Hidden deep within the scales of the beast was a lovely jewel of great value. Excited and eager to bring home the bounty from the bottoms of the sea the crew hefted a mighty chest full of the king's lost booty. One more toss of a line and revealed was a lovely white orb. A celebration among "Allies" turns deadly when an unprovoked attack slaughters attending DAGR dignitaries to the grand opening of USN's new town. Insults and injuries were heaped upon Budswoman who was attending the festivities as a token of good will to the newly formed alliance. Dressed in Pirate finery Buds was caught unprepared to defend against an attack from someone claiming to be a 'friend'.
This attack lays a dark omen upon the fiendish cowardly dogs of the USN. They have laid precedence to turn their quiet village into a town of bloodshed and mayhem. Guardian's Gate will be no place of refuge or any degree of protection from the Navy. They will take the name of Swampland Slumlords and forever be known for their sedition.
Pirates have a long disdain for the king's guards and his navy, tonight has yet again proven the king and his militant groups have no honor. The unprecedented display of disloyalty and vulgar disregard for the reputation of the kingdom an open "pet tournament" gave platform for assassination.

When is a war not a war? The war of the Navy and Pirates would appear to have come to an abrupt and unceremonial end. There was no fan fair, no celebration of the victors not even a good toast at the local pub. A quiet meeting with papers drawn ending a long battle for the honor of the Pirate leader. What of the need now to spill an enemy's blood? Now t'would seem that the blood fever will be satisfied in fields of sparring rather than battle.
In the opinion of one Pirate, this alliance is a ruse to slaughter us as friends and not enemies. Ale poured forth in great abundance and general revelry and rejoicing commenced with little encouragement, to a Pirate very little effort is required for food and drink. No sooner had the alliance been agreed than did the bloodshed begin. The party quite ended as arrows and blades crashed atop the unsuspecting DAGR's. USN took and did quite overwhelm the DAGR's and they did take the day. Will the treachery never end? Read more |

HAVEN, TRAMMEL - November 19, 2006 - by Greyylene (images by Oni and Budsshadow)
Quiet and unseen the DAGR Pirates stalked the town seeking out an old foe. Antsy, testy and chomping at the bit to shed Navy blood they held ground. Picking the Navy spy it became clear the battle was at hand. The call given to hold together and wait for the li'l fishies to school together, hidden Pirates placed through the town watched and waited for the perfect moment to strike.
One by one the Navy Dogs entered cautious yet arrogantly confident in the ability to drive the DAGR Pirates into the sea.A slight rustling breeze tossed leaves across the empty street as the USN forces gathered feeling they had owned the day. In an electric display of explosive force Pirates erupted from every direction scattering the Navy all around the town. First down was the Navy spy followed by several others of his crew. DAGR and USN forces clashed violently in the once quiet town of Haven. Onlookers stood in awe as arrows flew, blades crashed and blood flowed like a river
through town.
Stalled by a sight not common on battle fields, a rogue chicken ran between the feet and hooves of the combatants. *Cor Por* *Kal Vas Flam* erupted from the chicken striking down a Navy Dog dead in their tracks. The insanity of Pirates has no end. The spell broke by poison arrows and blades singing through the air as another Navy Dog left bones in the streets. Rastmoor, Tel Ket and Drakken struck with precision as arrows from Buds Shadow, and Greyylene rocked more USN troops.
The day ebbed and the battle roared. Again and again the warriors surged through the streets. By sunset the wounded and dying limped to their respective corners to regroup. With a last ditch effort to win the day the Navy Dogs sent a lone warrior through the Pirates' camp in a vain attempt to scatter and fluster the DAGR crew. The attempt ended badly and the body of yet another dog lay at the feet of the victors.

Scurvy pirates we may be, but tell me if you can why would the proper Navy dog wish to jump ship and join the ranks of lowly pirates? Could the motivation be the hordes of bar maids that follow the Pirate clan, perhaps the booty from ship wrecks and general mayhem?
The real reason may very well be the USN Navy Dogs found out what a trickster this Slevin character is and had him walk the plank! One too many nights of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct and Slevin earned the title of "bilge rat". After a few too many 'claps of thunder' and mistaking a Navy officer for a common rabble rouser most assuredly did not earn him a spot in the good graces of Navy commodore. Barely awake and able to walk, bleary eyed and still hung over the rogue was tried and quickly dispatched in typical Navy justice.
Tossing a coin to determine if t'was the plank or a keelhaul Slevin's fate was decided. Regardless of low tide the USN officers set the plank and heaved Slevin out over the water. Assuredly the scallywag would be quickly dispatched and the local tavern would quickly be invaded by Navy for purposes of cracking Jenny's tea cup, but instead they turned a Cowardly Navy Dog into a hero Pirate. Upon seeing the Navy in port DAGR pirates sent a bark about to investigate the happenings. Seeing the Jolly Rodger their fun was quite ended
and they did leave in haste and without a jaunt into town.
Feeling generous or cocky the Pirate clan hauled Slevin to the poop deck for further interrogation and a hearty laugh at the expense of the Navy. In our battles with the Cowardly Dogs will Slevin prove to be an asset or something else to kill?

The island home of DAGR Pirates yet again became a proving ground for Pirate spunk and dogged determination. A quiet party of stealthy Navy dogs appeared seeking to claim Pirate heads for bounty and bragging. They soon revealed Greyylene who had been standing guard watching their movements with great interest.
The word was sent that the island needed defending and other Pirates soon came. Diplomacy tactics soon gave way to heated sparring. Taken by surprise and completely off guard the Navy dogs soon fell victim to the raging whirlwind we call Flint.
His blade singing the fight song spurring him into a frenzy of action and bloodshed he rained chaos on all who were assembled on our island. His presence organized our troops and the pursuit to rid the sand of Navy footprints was set into action.
The battle was hard fought and victory well earned. The Navy was driven back to the sea with the promise of another battle soon to come. |

REMOTE BATTLEFIELDS - October 30, 2006
Forces from both DAGR and USN clashed head long in a remote and hidden battlefield to settle score and exact revenge. In an impressive display of order and team work the DAGR Pirates announced their presence with authority. A moment of dysfunction caused the Pirates to stumble, but quickly regained footing to triumph over the Navy dogs.
Rallying behind Kerrs the Pirates stood ground and forced the Navy into corners and pockets where their only escape was death. Surrounded by DAGR forces and running like rabbits the final USN fiend, Rigor Mortis, was felled as he passed by the lethal dart of Dorthy. The battle was heated and raged for some time, but in the end the DAGR Pirates reigned victorious...

BUCCANEERS DEN, TRAMMEL - October 29, 2006
A new hired bow for the USN announced her presence with authority last eve against a small renegade Pirate force. USN's Lily proved to be a force to be reckoned. The face off began late in Buccaneers Den when Pirate and Navy met at the Bathhouse.
The surprise to the Pirates left us open and quite unprepared for the encounter. Twice we met and the battles raged for quite some time, our crew did hold ground valiantly but in the end superior fire power won the day.
Flint, Bullseye and Greyylene began the night enjoying a mug of ale before patrolling the area for Navy. Not expecting anyone they were ready for the battle that had come before. Flint and Bullseye tried to hold the Navy at bay but fell first. Greyylene was last to fall and did try to take on Lily and Nevyn alone, but in the end she too was no match. This new threat is not taken lightly and the lesson hard learned will be taken to heart.
We salute the USN for a battle well fought, enjoy the victory while tis thine.

From Chapter 3:
The streets laid empty in Britain tonight as the
frosty wind blew by. Fall was soon turning into winter and time was
running out for one ambitious man. The rain didn't make the scene
around the city any more comfortable. The few guards that patrolled the
streets stood close to the door ways for warmtH. Not much travel was
occurring in the fair city this late in the evening. Even the local
tavern drunks shied away from trouble tonight, fearing getting tossed
onto the cold wet streets. All was calm... or so the guards below the
roofs of Britain thought. Read more |

PAXOKU, TOKUNO - October 25, 2006
Yet again the USN attempted to better the DAGR Pirates. They were discovered lurking about the meeting hall waiting for Kerrs to complete his report, but the Pirate detail with the Commodore would not allow his capture by the Navy dogs.
A grand chase ensued and small battles raged freckled the landscape from the Ancient Lands of Tokuno all the way to Buccaneers Den. T'was easy to follow the path of bloodshed by following the bodies that were strewn everywhere.
Our brave warriors fought and did win the day,but not without some losses. We did quickly answer their threat and gave the Cowardly Dogs an education in Pirate etiquette. We shant stand idly by whileour leader is threatened or captured. Our loyalties run deep and blades true.

PORT BALDMOR, TRAMMEL - October 15, 2006
Once again Port Baldmor was invaded by a regiment of USN soldiers. TheRoyal Navy even employed the use of a large White Lizard, this did make amost impressive show. In a quick thinking act of heroism a stealthy figure (Greyylene) released arrows straight to the heart of the tamer and felled him. Once the handler was quite dead the Lizard was left to its own vices. Picked off as birds in a field the Navy did yet again become bait for the fishermen Pirates.
The battle waged fiercely for quite some time on land before the navy dogs were driven back to their ship. Bodies of many USN commandos littered our coast along with a large white lizard and a nightmare. Several of our own brave contingents did meet the sands of our shores. The revenge exacted upon their fallen bodies was fierce and bloody.
Once the battle was realized the Navy dogs did resort to a rather cowardly defense of firing at DAGR forces aboard their vessel. When t'was realized they would not come ashore brave pirates (Flint and Kerrs Holly) did board them slaughtering all. They were taught again that there is no place to hide and that Pirates are relentless warriors who do not take kindly to
intrusions.

BUCCANEERS DEN, TRAMMEL - October 4, 2007
The United Sosarian Navy [USN] and Red Dagger Pirates [DAGR] battled in Buccaneers Den as the USN attempted to apprehend Commodore Kerrs Holley of DAGR. The Pirates held the island against the USN in one of the bloodiest battles to hit the island in years.
The USN sought out Commodore Holley at the command of the Sheriff of Trinsic. After the PaxLair meeting in Dragons Watch [October 2, 2007], the USN delivered a warrant from the High Sheriff of Trinsic for the apprehension of Commodore Holley. The warrant was served at the Blue Light Tavern in PaxOku, Tokuno. Read more |

Arrr Mateys it seems the royal navy has landed at the shores of Port Baldmor looking for some man named Ricardo or so they say. Three of them came ashore led by Nevyn D'Wyooren and his two mates Soul Reaver and Rolan Martin. They searched the island for most of the day looking for something. They even stopped by the bar to ask some questions but came up emty handed. They were watched to make sure they weren't looking for things better left alone on our island but they left without trouble, thou they did leave a detachment of ships near our shores to keep watch on us.
We'll watch the Royal Sosarian guard and see what their really up to. We pirates dont like royal navy ships off our shores, might be time for a burning.... Read more |

berries are too valueable ta' lose right now, demand is high and
dabloons ar' ta be made." Exclaimed Kerrs as he set down his third
bottle of pirate brew ale.
The men haven't seen the commodore this mad since the King tried to
set fire to Port Baldmor. Commodore Holley had good reason to be angry
though, with the Ophidian Wars raging, the Red Dagger Pirates have
dwindled in numbers greatly. The fear that DAGR may no longer have the
man power to patrol the seas sat heavy on him. What if a new pirate
crew came and took the seas over? No, we need this trade agreement to
put gold in our treasury and attract possible replacements for those
fallen sailors. The few seasoned pirates left in the crew gathered
their resources and awaited the Commodores next commands. "Dreckfel,
Mad Jack, and Buds since ya three haver been ter'dem lost lands
countless times im sending only yous. I cannot risk losing more of the
crew than we 'ave lefts, so A'vry body not called stays b'hind." said
Holley. From there the three seasoned fighters set sail from Port
Baldmor to the Serpent pillar out in the middle of the high seas to be
transported to the lost lands.
"All this trek'in is'ar making me feet sore" complained Dreckfel.
"Keep moving ya lout erse you want'er hang by ya'neck like Kerrs said"
replied Mad Jack " won't be too long from here now anyways". After
landing in the lost lands in an undisclosed location the three pirates
set off on a two day journey through the heat and masquito ridden
jungle to finally reach their destination. The commodore was right
about the savages, they cared little for talk unless they were forced
to listen. The three pirates made themselve ready for what lay ahead.
With a roar of battle cries they launched themselves into the mix of
undead and liches until they were able to reach the wooden fort of the
savages. "We are here to speak with the-" Dreckfel did not get to
finish his sentence due to a spear suddenly striking him in the
shoulder. Buds dragged Dreckfel into a descrete clearing to bandage up
the flesh wound, while Mad Jack started off the negotiating with a
blaze of sword slashing! Before long all three were in heavy battle
against one young savage or another. They all seemed to be coming in
from nowhere and everywhere.
"Up thar, perhaps the kingy is hiding out in thar lit 'le room!"
shouted Buds as his arrow struck down yet another savage. "Mad Jack
keep these Sav 'ges busy while I try ter talkin' sence inter'em, jers'
don keel hual tem all bef 're i canst getter word in!" shouted Dreckfel
over the wounded dying. After some while Dreckfel's words got through
to them, they even seemed a little scared when he told them of Holley's
demands and conditions. The threat of more pirates coming in to finish
off their tribe sunk into those thick skulls and the fighting stopped.
Some what. One of the Savages took the list of demands that laid on the
roughly chizzeled table and exclaimed she will personally deliver em to
her tribal king. We made it clear to the Savage holding the demands
that it must make it to the king else we would return with more
pirates. Even though this was not true because Kerrs couldnt risk more
crew casualties, the Savage bought the bluff. With a grin set on each
of our faces we left the camp in haste to make it back to our glorious
diamond sparkling seas and home. Check back next week to see if
Commodore Kerrs and the Savage King have come to a trade agreement

Nearing the Old Tellers hideaway many of my crew found themselves a bit more than worried. Strange trees grew close and slimy together. What trees art these that would devour a man just at the touch? Tis reason enough to stay to the open sea.

Port Baldmor, Trammel
Port Baldmor History-
Arr yar ay be yening to be learned the origins o tis pirates haven but not much is known of how the place got started. Perhaps it be best to start with some folk lore of the isle...
It is said that about a few hundred years ago this pirate island ran red with the blood of fleeing pirates from a contingent of the infamous pirate Kidd Holley. Seeking refuge from the slaughter of the vengeful Royal Navy off the shores of Buccaneers Den the remaining fleet of pirates managed to crash land on Bald Island.
Tired and worn they thought the worst be over. Sadly mistaken, the Royal Navy tracked this raggedy band of pirates to Bald Island were they finished the last of Holleys famous Crew. The pirates bodies laid mutilated on the beach when the Royal Navy was done. It is rumored that the serpents and alligators grew so big because they drank and ate the remains of the pirates vengeance-filled hearts.
Then about November of last year a new band of pirates claimed this island... the Red Dagger Pirates. Read more |

First PaxLair-wide Meeting in Port Baldmor | PORT BALDMOR, TRAMMEL - March 28, 2006
The first PaxLair meeting in Port Baldmor was hosted by DAGR in Port Baldmor. The "meeting hall" was set up on the Beach. Mayor Winfield and the Viceroys, Deputy Viceroys, and citizens covered the usual material with some notable announcements.
Deputy Viceroy DutchessVanHorn of PaxLair City, Felucca, will be running an Easter Egg hunt later this month, the day after Easter (April 17, 2006). More details will come.
Port Baldmor has set up a Base Camp on Bald Isle, Felucca.
Port Baldmor is hosting a Regatta and Net Toss at the Spring Festival in Moonglow on Apr 29-30, 2006.
Ladies of the Lair Tavern will now be open at 8 PM ET on Tuesdays right before the PaxLair-wide weekly meetings, instead of on Sundays.
Tatania, Deputy Viceroy of PaxOku, announced the brainstorming meeting results in PaxOku (previously reported in the PaxLair News).
Viceroy Gareth of PaxOku declared an economic sanction on PaxLair City, Felucca due to the increase in Evil into that city. The sanction prevents any imports from PaxLair City into PaxOku, and any exports from PaxOku to PaxLair City. The sanction will remain in effect at least until Viceroy Gareth can meet with Viceroy Darius to discuss the matter.
After the meeting, Constable Holmes questioned Xavier Reed as ordered by Mayor Winfield last Thursday night at the PaxLair Court. Xavier is not accused of anything, however there seems to be potential problems between Justine and Xavier. Mayor Winfield issued a restraining order on Justine to remain away from Xavier until the Constable finds out more. |
